These are the only MFI cables I've found that have the same connector dimensions as the apple originals

http://www.amazon.com/Certified-iXC...id=1427137600&sr=8-8&keywords=lightning+cable

Even the popular Anker brand cables on Amazon are bigger than the apple original (by less than 1mm in each dimension) and don't work. Both Anker and Monoprice make the connector body larger on their 10ft cables compared to the 3ft. I have one of the original monoprice 3ft and 6in cables from 2012 (?) when they first introduced their MFI lightning cables. Both are too big, although I read they recently updated their cables to make the connector bodies smaller.

I had lifeproof cases for my iphone 5, 5s, and ipad mini and all of those cases had a MUCH bigger connector opening that took any of the aftermarket cables I own.

I just got the 12" version. I can verify it does fit my 6 Fre. Some reviews said newer versions of the cable don't. They come in 3 lengths but the reviews didn't say which one.

Has anyone tried combing the Lifeproof Nudd and Fre front/black ? I hate the clear back on the Nudd and would like to use a Nudd front with Fre back. This worked with the 5, any idea about the 6 ?

Thanks

Anyone here who got the Nuud but are returning it, considering the Catalyst? Saw they are now shipping for the IP6 but preorder and will be available mid March for the 6 plus. May check that out. And it's cheaper too (6 plus is $74.99 I believe)

Read a great review of the Catalyst for the IPhone 6

If I were you, I would wait on the catalyst, I didn't wait, and ordered one with express shipping, ($40 just for the shipping) and even tho the case passed the test when empty, when testing it on my kitchen sink, it leaked, and needless to say, the phone got wet, it took them almost 4 days to get back to me, just to ask if I had an screen protector on the phone, best thing to so, is to pick up a case from an actual store, and not online, it makes it much simpler when/if you have to return.

In my case, it seems I will be out of some $$$, this people will not cover for my out of warranty replacement, will not cover for having the case shipped back to them (Honk Kong) even tho they are the ones who sent me a paper weight, most likely will expect me to pay for shipping another case, that at this point I do not want. I think I will just file a claim with Amex.

Anyone know if lifeproof is working on any of the problems stated in this thread? I need a waterproof case for my trip to California in June and I don't wanna have all these issues that everyone else is having.

Just picked one of these up at bestbuy. Biggest complaint so far is that I can't use any of my charging cables with this case. Turns into a very expensive case having to buy cables that will fit the very small charging port. Hope I don't have the other issues noted in the thread, but I can definitely see the port cover prongs snapping soon.

Ok does anyone have issues with the power button not working at all on this case? Once I get it snapped on it will work like once and then loses alignment and it won't work again until you remove the case and reseat the phone yet again. Rinse and repeat over and over.

Mine works just fine. It is pretty stiff to press but I don't mind anymore. You might want to submit a warranty and get a new one. I've had it since I first opened up this thread and still use it everyday, its saved me on quite a few occasions.

My charging port cover ended up snapping, good thing is Lifeproof is willing to replace it, bad is that there's a 2-4 week delay due to back order

I have the black nuud case and just submitted my second claim. They told me the black case was backordered so I asked if they would change it to the white one since it was in stock. Within minutes I had a shipping confirmation email for the white case.

Just an FYI if you have the black case but wanted the white one.

I received an email back from life proof today after waiting for over a month for a replacement case stating I would be receiving shipping info soon. Will keep everybody updated as to any changed to the black nuud case when I receive it.

I gave up on my LP which just upsets me. However not being able to use anything but the apple chargers makes it hard when I'm in the car, I can't use the charger I bought from Verizon. Also with their new QuickMount system I don't like that when I put the phone on my belt I have to have the screen facing out. What good is an uber protective case if they make you keep the screen facing out?

While I was waiting for the LP belt clip to become available, I tried a Supcase holster. I hated the thing because I was forced to clip the the phone into the holster face-in. The LP belt clip is perfect for my use which is securing the phone in the pocket of my board shorts.

See working in an office it doesn't look good pulling a phone out from inside my pants. That's why I liked the one they make for the 5/5S series. I wish they'd give us both options now. If they did I'd put my LP back on in a heart beat. Or if I could find a 3rd party that doesn't look out of place in an office or out in the field.

Hmm so base on these posts, it's not worth getting the Lifeproof? The waterproof feature is not that important to me I just like the looks of it and I believe it is the thinest out of similar cases of the bulk designs (UAG/Otterbox)? I'm just worried about the sound complaints I've been seeing.

Yea I'm not concerned about having a completely water proof case but more water resistant and dust proof. I like the build of the Lifeproof but I'm concerned about the sound complaints too.

It finally happened to me. The bottom port broke and won't seal now. Great...there is a backorder for replacements as well.

Getting a replacement. Should be in tomorrow. Ill let you guys know if there is an update to the case design or if it looks like it will still break.

I just wanna let you guys know about my lifeproof nuud situation. I purchased one from Verizon. After a couple days the tit on the bottom door that's covers the power hole broke. Just like many of you have been talking about. So I emailed lifeproof. They gave me a list of what they wanted. I had to take a picture of the damage and write the date and show the receipt. So I did that and never heard back from lifeproof. I was so aggravated I just returned the case to Verizon. Today I got the mail and they sent me a brand new case. I was shocked and really happy. That's until I opened it up and the design has not changed. I was hoping they were back ordered so they have time to fix this design flaw. O well I got a free case that will probably break in another week. I've used lifeproof cases for years from the first one they released. I'm so disappointed with them. They make us wait 5 months for the case and it sucks. Also the volume is still horrible.

Horrible feedback sound during calls - fixed!

I've had a weird issue with my Nuud Case for my 6 (not plus). I had to disable the noise canceling mic because if it was on, I would randomly get a loud feedback noise in my ear while on a call because i'm guessing the sound from the ear piece was traveling to the noise canceling mic.

Anyone else had the issue?

YES! My husband's phone has been doing this! THANK YOU for posting this problem, and the solution - it has been driving him crazy!

----------

I had the issue of callers on the other end saying that I sounded muffled as well. I read somewhere to remove the phone from the case and put it back in the front of the case with bottom side first, then press in the top and snap on the back part of the case. I havent has any complaints about a muffled sound since I did that.

My husband's phone also sounded muffled - and I had him follow these instructions and he sounds WAY better.

Now that the high pitched feedback sound is fixed, I think we are BOTH happy with the case.

He is a welder, and all of his iphones up until now have had major problems with metal dust particles destroying the microphone (it took us 3 replacements of his 4s before we figured out why the microphone kept frying)...

After using this case for almost 2 months now, he opened it up to fix the muffling issue, and he doesn't see a speck of dust on the phone - so it really seems to be doing the job!

So I got my replacement today. Still exactly the same as my old case. Im about ready to get rid of lifeproof. They let me down too many times now.

Welp, before I saw this thread I stopped by my local best buy and bought this sucker. I'm doing the water test now and hope I don't have the issues reported here.

Just bough this case for job specific reasons and so far do not have any issues that are described in this thread.
