Just ran across this article on melatonin affect by blue light sources after dark

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/05/health/05light.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1

After a few months with this fix, I do still prefer invert when heavy text reading. If you turn on both invert and 'zoom', you'll get a list when triple clicking and can go back and forth. Just don't use both together ;)

Just wish apple would implement true flux. They are eager to improve health outcomes and their own devices are disturbing circadian rhythms (which itself encourages inflammation) the world over!

My biggest wish is there was a shortcut to do:

Settings > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > **Reduce Whitepoint**

This is much close to what f.lux does.

The effect of that option is currently so subtle though (and basically only has one preset level as well) that it's often not that useful.

It is subtle but it does reduce the amount of blue light. Which is nice at night time.

As far as shortcut to it, or at last close to it, you can likely use an app like Launcher and create one that you can access through its widget in the notification center.
