Lightning to 30-pin Adapter Shipping Thread

I have two pieces on order since September 13th. Still processing. I've heard that they will ship on October 9th.
 
I ordered mine on 9.13 - before the iPhone 5 preorder date and nothing has changed. I think it's said processing items since I started checking after I got my iPhone 9.27 or so. So much for being prepared. I ordered lightening cables at same time on 9.13 and did get those before I got my phone.
 
So, I WAS right after all!! They are being shipped as I type this. Finally we'll all get them in the next couple of days.

Yes, I ordered late evening on Sept 12th and mine went to prepared for shipping overnight.
 
For those who see change in shipping date (other than october), can you please put the shipping date and the date you actually ordered? That could help others get an idea on when their order will get shipped.
 
I now have a tracking number that is not yet active, but no delivery date as of yet.

Man, I'd just be happy with the plain lightning to USB cables hitting stores near me. 3 hours away from the nearest Apple store, hour and a half from the nearest big box store (not counting Wal-Mart which has none) and carrier stores having none either.

How come you didn't order online? I know you maybe wouldn't have gotten it on launch day, but soon after ...

I did, ordered 2 extra and already received them. Now I'm realizing I need more, and would much rather just walk in pay and walk out than wait for shipping.
 
My order from Sep 13th switched from processing to preparing for shipment. I guess I'll be getting a tracking number real soon.
 
I've got a set of Logitech speakers with the "universal" adapter that I've only had since Mother's Day. I would like to get this adapter, but I'm concerned that it will mean the iPhone is up high enough that nothing is holding it in but the lightening plug. Anyone else with this set of speakers have a thought?

Personally, I'll be biting the bullet on the extra $10 for the corded adapter since it seems like it will make this problem (poor support for the phone since its so tall) a non-issue, and in the process makes the whole thing much more flexible (I can have my phone connected to the speaker dock, yet hold it in my hand if I need to use it.)

Good point. The price on these is ridiculous, I must say! I guess I could just use an audio in cord, but I have been told that there is a loss in quality doing that, and it wouldn't provide the charging capability.
 
I would have ordered from Apple's online site here in the UK but unlike most other major online retailers they charge for delivery unless you spend a certain amount. I want both the lighting to 30pin adapter and cable. I'm just going to check the Apple stores over the next few days and hopefully I can pick them up in store.
 
what do you think is the best option.... waiting for in-store pick up or just ordering and wait for them to eventually ship?
 
Finally!

Ordered 6 lightning to usb adapter cables and two lightning to 30 pin connectors on the 12th. Received the cables about a week ago, and just now noticed adapters say "preparing for shipment".
 
Ordered an adapter at the same time I ordered my iPhone5, just after 2am Central Sep14th, it changed from processing to preparing for shipment during the day today.
I really hope this will work with my OEM cable in my Hyundai Genesis.......
