made my own dock and got the bluetooth adapter for my ihome....works great and my ihome is hidden now:D
and also has anybody ordered recently and went into preparing for shipment yet? just wondering
 
For those that may have ordered it after launch date.... I had the lightning to 30 pin cable adapter added to my order on sept 22.

Got the shipped email sometime late last night.

So if you didn't order it a week before launch... I wouldn't worry...it will probably ship very soon.

Mine shipped. Ordered on the 18th.

Actually don't want it now as I need to use it with a case so need the cable one.

Bluetooth adapter for your iHome? Please elaborate!

Does it work with the alarm feature too? The playlist mode where it plays a random song from your "iHome" playlist?
 
On apple site, the adapter without the cable shows 2-3 weeks shipping now. The one with cable still shows october.
Glad I ordered the one with cable predicting the issue with no cable adapter and phones with case.

Haven't tried the alarm thing but its a belkin adapter you can get at Walmart that plugs in the aux in on the ihome

For anyone who is interested, I ordered the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (0.2m) yesterday and I've just had an email to say it has shipped and I can expect it on or before 15/10/12.

After being amazed at Midnight the day the 5 went on sale (on how easy it went). I ordered the 30 pin adapter.

It just came. Got notification that it was preparing for shipment yesterday and it's now here.
 
I checked my order status and noticed that the cable adapter is now preparing for shipment. My 2 standard adapters are still showing "Available to ship: 5 - 7 business days". I placed the order on September 24.
 
Just FYI: Ordered two 30 pin adapters at the same time as the preorder for the iPhone 5. Received the shipping notice from apple yesterday with overnight delivery for today. No delivery today however, and tracking shows up as "shipment info sent to Fedex."

Called Fedex and they said apple has yet to give them the package. Called apple and they are going to "look into it" but said it would be a few days before they know anything. Apple says that since I have a tracking number, my package should have shipped, but are still confused as to why this is happening.

So I ordered both the lightning to 30-pin adapter (0.2m) and the regular adapter yesterday. Today the 0.2m is already preparing for shipment while the adapter is out until Oct 18-22. I guess I a lot of people didn't preorder the 0.2m

When you ordered, did they both say the same to ship?

Thanks. I ordered a 0.2 today and it said delivers oct 30 - nov 5
Hoping it ships sooner... this is getting very frustrating.

Shipping estimates, and shipping arrivals from people online, make it seem like the .2m flavor went out later.

Has anyone seen the .2m in the wild?

And screw ordering, I'm hoping they become as common as the USB cables and I can just buy one in store this week.
 
My cable adapter shipped tonight and should be here by Tuesday. It's coming straight from China, so I assume that means they don't have them in U.S warehouses yet.
