I really like the new UI and features. It's a great update IMO, looks a lot better than iTunes 8 :)

Fair enough. I dig the features as well. As long as it works well, I'll get used to it. Even though I was annoyed when I saw that they changed some things that I previously liked, the fact of the matter is that I run iTunes in the background like 90% of the time. So no biggie, I guess.

BUT, in grid view I used to command+click 3 or 4 albums and hit return to open and play just those albums together. That used to be one of my favorite ways to select some music. This doesn't seem to be working anymore. Am I going crazy? When I do that, only the first album opens up. Anyone else notice this?

hopefully they fix the double album issue. Where it shows tracks as 11 22 33 44 in a double album.

I still dislike quitting iTunes before i eject my external hd. But these are minor issues that with the next update should be fixed.

I will be buying the Muse iTunes LP on tuesday. Give that idea a try

Okay, of course I figured out how to do it about 5 seconds after posting on here. Still, it seems like they added some pointless steps in there.

Select multiple albums in grid view > roll over one of the selected albums > press "play selected" > to isolate the selected albums click the little arrow in display at the top

I prefer select albums > hit return from itunes 8.

Okay done complaining about this release. I'm spent! :p

itunes 9 is interesting. it's not because of new feature but because of basic background. unlikely previous itunes, it uses webkit which share safari. it's more like internet app. that's why it is faster, snappier, lighter. I like it.

Dislike it

The colour is awful
The store just looks a mess (if the colours where better this might be ok)

I am just using iTunes purely as a music player now, get something playing and leave it in the background.
Amazon is my preferred choice for buying music

would have been easier if the question left the 9 off. Then I could quickly say "dislike".

I really like it. Definitely feels a lot quicker for me than iTunes 8 ever did. Not fussed at all about the visual changes, quite like some of them.

Not sure why people are getting this bug, it's working fine for me! (see attachment). I do wish they'd seperate the discs more though, a simple Disc 1 of 2 and Disc 2 of 2 before the tracks would be good.

It's a solid update, love the new features, the UI im not so sure about, i'll get used to it though!

You know you can have more than one browser on your computer? Just install Safari and continue to use whatever browser you’ve been using…
I am using Safari as my browser of choice. I upgraded to the new version of Safari. Now I cannot access the site that I need for work.

BTW, I uninstalled Safari and reinstalled an earlier version. Unfortunately, the new version changes something that now causes the old version not to work.

No, I do not want to use FireFox or something else. And yes, I have an alternative method. But it still frosts my butt that the new Safari breaks a site that worked fine before.

Its amazing but I am still pissed the hell off that there is no Music Videos Category. I am so sick of having my music and videos merged...

Post script: Yes, I know there is a smart playlist for MV's but I want them OUT of my music library

I like it, but I do hate how the resize button (that's on every window in OS X) no longer switches to the mini player.

I hate that pushing the green button no longer brings up the Mini Player. Who the hell needs to maximize an iTunes window???

Well mine's always maxamized, but I highly doubt people need to resize it as much as they need the mini player.

Hold down OPTION while clicking the green button and it will bring up the mini player. I guess the change makes sense in that now iTunes is more like other apps wrt the green button, but at the same time it is inconvenient.

Whoa...It works...Weird, but it works!

Command+shift+M also does it, so you might as well do that if you have to start holding keys down.

Apple should have at least put a setting in to change it back to normal though.

I don't know about anybody else, but I find the new iTunes store to be slower and WAY (get this) messier.
