I saw some people complaining that Lion sales won't be spectacular because Apple isn't truly taking into account the spread of good quality download speeds and the lack of broadband access worldwide.
If everyone thought like this there wouldn't be any advancement in the industry. If companies (such as Apple) provide the need for an increased broadband network in terms of bandwidth and coverage then another company will step-up to supply the demand.
If you really think about it, it isn't the biggest issue in the world, if you want it - you'll get Lion somehow. My download speeds are about 40KB/s, it's going to take me hours and hours to download. My brother also has a Mac so he is going to want to download it too. It'll take us ages but we'll get there. I live in one of the most technically backwards parts of the UK but I don't know a single person without an internet connection.
