Quick question

I'm running snow leopard on a 2010 MBP with the standard def webcam,

I'm running the facetime beta, cause I didn't think there was a point upgrading to facetime HD with a non HD cam in my MacBook Pro,

Facetime HD comes with lion doesnt it? Should I uninstall the beta first or will it just overwrite it?

Cheers,
John

iTunes can't even show disk space usage correctly. To be consistent with the rest of the operating system.
iTunes needs lots of updating.

Full screen iTunes is something I would like to see tho.

Would make up for the loss of frontrow which I use daily.

I'm waiting for lion too. Have three wireless internet connections ready to download all at once onto three computers.

Will find out if the app store lets you download multiple times from the one account all at once.

If you're upgrading via downloading from the Mac App Store (which I think is the only way to get it) then you should only have to pay $30 to upgrade all 3. As long as you are capable of logging into your Apple account/iTunes account on all 3 computers that is. I believe Apple only allows you to set up a maximum of 5 devices to one account, so you may need to disable the account on some devices temporarily if you have it enabled on more than 5 devices.

It is not limited to 5 devices.
It is not the same as the limit for music purchases.

If I were to download Lion and create a Time Machine backup before installing it, wouldn't that mean that if something goes wrong or I just wanna go back to Snow Leopard then I could restore to that back up and not have to download Lion again?

Have we run out of big cats yet? What's left?

It's 6 34 am and I'm still awake waiting for this. I'm lying in bed pretending to my girlfriend that I'm asleep, so I can launch out of bed and begin my download...

Time for an upload instead?

Just download once, but before you let the install run, copy the downloaded file, you can then use the same file on all three computers.

I am sure that it will work just fine.

For whoever asked if there are any cats left, apparently Apple has already registered "Lynx" and "Cougar" as trademarks

Question
So, you can make an OS X Lion Boot disc by copying that dmg file to a disk. Can I also install this dmg file on the macs of my family? We all have different iTunes accounts though. So, can they use my disk to install Lion or will they have to pay up too?

They will need to pay.
The purchase you make is valid for the iTunes account that made the purchase only
