Sorry to ask this again but no one answered

If I were to download Lion and create a Time Machine backup before installing it, wouldn't that mean that if something goes wrong or I just wanna go back to Snow Leopard then I could restore to that back up and not have to download Lion again?

Yes that should work but you would have to do a complete system restore to the backup taken before you installed Lion

In The Netherlands the store now says:

We'll be back soon.
We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly.

Good news?

GM - The same?

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hijack the thread.. just a quick question. I have the Lion GM installed ( it is working fine apart from the poor NAS drive support - there is a fix). Anyway will downloading the retail version offer me anything more or is there no way to know? For instance will i still get software updates with the GM?

Thanks

Chris

Yes thats correct. You can just use the backup from time machine to go back to a full working version of Snow Leopard.

I recommend doing duel boot tho. Lots of software does not work with Lion yet.

That will save you from having to go back and do a Snow Leopard reinstall.

Sad thing is I drove all the way back to campus just to use the university's network and now I'm all alone waiting for Lion.
