I have a problem, the only way I can download Lion is by standing outside of my college library as there is no wifi in the dorms. It's cold, so I could be outside in the biting cold for hours, or if download speeds are slow, I could be there for at least 24 hours (in which case I may as well not go at all). Assuming I can download it, it will take probably 3 hours (speeds at library are capped at 4Mbps per user).

so it's 1pm here in London, last i heard no new MBA's in the apple store on Regent Street

Presume that means they won't be wheeling the new one out today then?

I can't imagine they'd release them in the afternoon.... Or do you think there's a (slim) possibility they've been told to keep them out the back until Lion is released this afternoon?

This is Graphic Converter's Chance!

If Graphic Converter doesn't sell, they really need to give up. This is one of the biggest opportunities for an app. I wonder if Apple told them they would be on the front page and to get ready for an influx to support calls/emails.

If HQ hasn't released the okay on anything in the States, your not going to see it.

Just realised how bad the internet is in GB. Mine is better than 60% of the country and it's only 10Mb/s!

internet speeds and cellular data services are awful here. in the usa, a vast majority of the country will be covered by 4G in 18 months. Over here we can barely get 3G to cover a country, smaller than some of their states. Not to mention our 4G auction isn't until next year i believe.

If Lion doesn't come out at the next half hour mark I will personally poop on my second mac.

And that's all I've got, folks.

I'm not pooping on my iPad 2.

Ok. Lion is out today, so what?! Download, install, play around with it. End of story. It's not like there will be Global Peace.

Why is this feature missing in Lion? Does Apple know this? Will there be an update for Mac OS X with Global Peace included?
