Liquidation on Macs @ CompUSA?

...most locations there weren't going to be much more discounts.

So what a friggin' waste of time. They have no intentions of deeply discounting anything, or even pricematching online prices. They want to maximize profit.

Just checked in to CompUSA today, all Macs are now 10% off, ACD's are now 20% off. Crap, I bought an ACD last month at 10% off. Oh well. 🙁

still off the original msrp....not really a good deal...if it goes to 20% then maybe i'll consider it

What is funny to me is that while I didn't like CompUSA because their prices seemed to be higher than Circuit City and Best Buy, I did find their staff to be amazing and friendly. The Apple store at the mall however, I stood around and tried to get the attention of three different Apple Heads or whatever they are called and not one of them acknowledged my presence, which is why when I do buy a Mac I am going to buy it from the local independent Mac dealer, because they treat me like a potential customer. I told the local guy how they treated me, and he said it was probably because I didn't look like I would fit into their "image" of a Mac buyer. Whatever that means he is probably right because not once has anyone come up to me in that place and asked if I had questions or needed help. Wait I take that back, one guy did, but that was a while back.
