Dammit! I got done playing TF2 and saw an e-mail that my CC had a hold on the charges...I called and released them, but I can't find on Apple's site where to re-authorize...perhaps that can only be done while they are open (customer care). I suppose I'll call first thing in the AM...I hope this doesn't delay me a day! :(
 
mine is now in Helsinki and they:apple: say it will be delivered today ! Fingers crossed...
 
no more waiting!

for 14:25 hours I'm already in the world of mac! I finally managed to get my Pro 2.5 yesterday in the late evening.

I just started using a Mac and it really feels great :apple::D:apple:
 
After waiting an entire week to get re-credited, I've purchased my Penryn 'Pro, From the developer store. I'm expecting *personally* to get it maybe next weds or thursday. :D Watch as I whore my specs...

Cheaper than buying it in the UK....I saved $549 ordering my MBP in the US. You Brits get ripppped off.

The same thing happened to me when I got the 17 inch sleeve from Fed Ex. I was home, the driver didnt even ring the doorbell, and he left. So, is that FedEx policy? Not ringing doorbells? :confused::mad:

maybe if the drives get behind, they take a chance on a delivery or two to speed things up. perhaps they look for a car in the driveway, or something. maybe i'll leave my garage door open when the time comes for mine to be delivered.
 
I, too, have a long weekend of waiting ahead of me...ordered on the 3rd and it seems to be on its way out of China today...

I see a new Apple advertisement.

Cue Tom Petty's "The Waiting is the Hardest Part"...played overtop a montage of people trying to find other things to do until the moment of delivery...

The hardest part of owning a Mac...is waiting for it to arrive.

I also see a response ad...involving the TOOL song "The Patient".

I'm trying Maynard...I really am.

It was time to find a replacement for my C2D macbook that was stolen out of my office in October- luckily my insurance people paid me back for it.
So I ordered my 15inch MBP 2.4 ghz (glossy) with 200gb 7200 rpm on 03/04/08 with student adc discount :-D
Still have my free apple remote from the MB- so didn't need to buy a new one
According to FedEx it left Shanghai Mar 7, 2008 6:01 PM and was received after FedEx cutoff.
Looks like it will probably arrive on the east coast either Monday or Tuesday.

That means that it has arrived at it's destination sort facility. Looks like it landed around 5:45 in my city on Sat. night. They don't deliver on Sunday...Looks like Mon. is the day.....So close I can almost feel the aluminum beneath my fingers..and yet sooo very out of reach...sadness

I finally moved to prepared for shipment as well. Ordered on 3/1. :D I just wonder how does Apple determine who gets shipped out first?

I wondered too...perhaps I had to wait longer on the hard drive...besides that and RAM differences that's all I can see.
