I just got this app from the App Store and everything on it looks crisp. It's a mind mapping app. There's no mention of Retina support in the App's description.

Could be that they didn't put it in the description, but it still supports it. If it was updated some time after the release of the RMBP, I'd say that's likely.

What is the app called?

Used the section in the App Store for "Optimized for the new Macbook Pro with Retina Display" to add to the list, significantly.

Thanks for all other user additions, keep them coming!

Firefox with crisp text

I don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but there is a script available that changes the Firefox beta to Retina text.

1. Go to this page (it's in Japanese but that's ok) and download Retinalizer0.1.zip partway down the page

2. Download Firefox Beta

3. Drag the Firefox app icon onto Retinalizer app icon.

4. Replace your old Firefox app in the dock with the new "Retinalized" version

Why hasn't Starcraft II been mentioned yet? It seems retina ready to me. It even has native resi, and runs smoother than D3.

Will we have Office version Mac that support retina display?

We may be waiting until Office '13 or whatever they eventually call the Mac version of the next office.

You know that is going to take forever.

Of course it is. We just got full screen support for Lion and ML. Although, with the last two versions of Office (AFAIR), the Mac editions were released a year after the Windows original. So at least we have an idea of the time window, even if it isn't ideal.

Hope Chrome expands it's high-res browser for Windows.

I hope they fix the kernel panic-causing memory leak.

My favorite VNC client: "iTeleport" is now retina ready, they just released a mac appstore update.
Tested it with my setup and it looks sooo much better now to connect from the macbook retina to my 1920x1200 PC.

so does it mean the 1920x1200 pc gets mapped per pixel as if it was on a 2880 res canvas? (avoiding scaling etc)

and what about connecting TO your macbook retina from another non-retina computer? does the client view the retina macbook as 2880 rather than scaled 1440 (or whatever retina setting its on)

I have no idea :) All i know is that my 1920x1200 PC looked blurry on iTeleport full screen on the Macbook Retina and now with the latest update it looks sharp full screen.

Also i can't comment on connecting to the macbook as i only need to connect to my PC VNC server.

I'm sure that the support from iTeleport can answer your questions, they helped me fast and good in the past.

Thanks! I'll wait until it goes back on sale again.
