Anybody hear anything about Firefox making the jump? I dont mind Chrome, but i'm used to Mozilla's browser. Although Safari, with its new improvements isn't bad either :p

it'll probably be done by 2015. i was a fervent firefox user but have now switched over to chrome,

thats disappointing, but maybe they will pull a "Microsoft" and update without letting everyone know... imagine my surprise when i found out Office 2011 was Retina Ready today!!!

The Office for Mac 2011 14.2.4 Update includes the following improvement:
Office 2011 for Mac now supports retina rendering on Mac computers that are equipped with a retina display.

:D got this with Microsoft AutoUpdate

New Program for rMBP

So i'm googling the new EFI updates pros and cons and stumble upon "Retinizer" Apparently it draws text up at 2X instead of 1X for non retina apps. Just dloaded it. This makes your non retina apps look much nicer... and its reversible(open source)

Microsoft AutoUpdate is not retina ready. I think it is only 90% retina ready for word, excel, PowerPoint. There are some fuzzy icons.

Hi guys, I tried the retinizer utility that one of the member of the forum developed, if you look for retinizer you'll find it. Apart for some possible glitches many applications are actually vasted improved in appearance at least the text becomes sharp. The process is completely reversible (it just adds a key in your bundle identifier) and the app lets you both retinize and unretinize in case of problems. May be worth a try.

Does it affect performance and battery life?

hey I was wondering if anyone knows whether any of the ADOBE PRODUCTS are made for the retina pro yet?

Just updated to Firefox 16, and it appears the pages are rendered as high res! Although I don't think it is fully retina capable yet, since the user interface and page titles are still blurry.

Anyone confirm?

Adobe CS6

Anyone else given up hope on this? I'm sure we'll see it but it'll be a .5 update that we'll have to pay for.

they are actually SLOWLY doing it

I can't speak to anything other than CS6 subscription version, but Adobe has added retina support to a few of the utilities (though none of the main apps yet)

Perhaps they are using those as a test before they update what people actually use (in design is especially in need)

Incorrect, as said on the list, Adobe CS6 Premiere Pro & SpeedGrade are already updated.

Is Sparrow the only retina-ready email client? Is that what everyone else is using? I've looked at Postbox as well but it doesn't look like it's ready yet.

is adobe lightroom retina ready?

No, but an Adobe employee said they would like to bring support to that program soon. I believe...
