Hmmm...

Hopefully gonna get a 13" planer this year, and the stuff to build myself a nice router table. I'd also like to pick up a couple new pieces of cookware, and there's a few bottles of wine out there that I'm coveting...

The other items I'm looking to get this year I cannot mention or I will get flamed / start a flame war.

My dad built a router table into a side extension of his delta unisaw table saw.
I see you enjoy tools. So does my dad, he just never uses them though, he has them "just in case". Thats why he has a ~1500sq ft workshop in our basement.

Not necessarily in this order, and not necessarily all this year:

1. computer armoire
2. decent LCD monitor
3. display calibrator
4. Canon 580exII flash
5. Aperture
6. external hard drive
7. lensbaby 2
8. Canon 5D (or its replacement)
9. 24" iMac or Mac Pro
10. AppleTV (maybe)

All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth... my two front teeth... my two front teeth...
Be careful what you ask for...

I have a pair of the HD515s that sound just as good if not better than the Triports for far less money, and while they're larger in size, they feel far more sturdy than any pair of TriPorts I've ever put near my head.

Do they keep out a reasonable amount of noise? Are they anywhere near as light as the Triport? Can you actually use them while walking about? The Triports are excellent phones for use with an iPod / laptop. I'd seen them pilloried by various wannabe audiophiles but when I got one, I found myself using it most of the time while walking / train-ing around. I like'em.

I'm holding out for an Evo X, but I may just be too old for one.

They're not as light as the TriPorts, and I would probably use different headphones if I were walking around. They keep out noise just fine, but they do "leak" noise if you're the kind of person who turns your music way up.

I think they sound better than the TriPorts, and they're cheaper, but they're not as good for "on the go" as the TriPorts might be.

1. Air Filter to rid my room of smoke.
2. MacBook - White, but i want a graphics update Apple!
3. Bag/Case for MacBook
4. Wii
5. i'd love a second monitor. but thats not going to happen any time soon.

All I want this year is to pay off my student loans (=15K), that would be a feat in itself if I can in one year. Most Likely I am looking at 1.5 years at the most. The reason for extra 6 months is that I am moving into a new apartment with my girlfriend and we want to get a new tv and couch. We're looking at around a $1000 for a 42" flat screen to go with my XBox 360, and we need some type of decent couch for the living room. We have most everything else for a place.

1. Behringer 16ch Desk + USB/Firewire audio interface combo
2. New TV. My Philips is on it's way out (despite being little over a year old), and it's a chance to upgrade to a B&O TV, which will work with my stereo beautifully...

All I really want is the new Samsung LN-T4066F 40" LCD HDTV 1080P 15000:1 contrast ratio (most likely dynamic, but still!)

This 21" Sony Triniton from 97' is getting a bit old >_<

ooo good thread.

um.

-Triumph Spitfire Mk4. I'm on the verge of starting my driving lessons and I'd rather get this car than inherit my grans Mercedes or whatever. Classic and British :D
-24" iMac. Under Windows I turn off my iMac display and just use the 2007WFP (partially because Windows is so cack at dual screens) because of the more pixels for when I'm working.
-Unlimited Wii Points. So many games on there that I'm putting off buying because I'm worried something truly killer is around the corner.
-80gb iPod. Just to know what it would feel like to carry an iPod than could hold my iTunes library 5 times over.
-Any loud speaker with "reference" in the title. ooooh yes.

You'll wanna avoid the KEF References, really not that impressive.

For me, it's anything with Nautilus or 'BeoLab 5' in the title...

Since we are talking speakers, I would love to see some Meridian in my living room.

Where to start...

-Xbox 360- after a price drop or revision
-a car
-Elgato eyetv hybrid
-Wii games/accessories
-Possibly a Sawtooth G4 :D

All I want is my 4 month old puppy to finally be house trained and a tent trailor for summer camping. I'm gettin' too old for sleeping on the ground.

4. An Arial Atom - I want one so bad...

All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth... my two front teeth... my two front teeth...

Funny you should say that 2 Christmases ago i did actually get my two front teeth. Just coincidence that the treatment which latest 2 years ended at Christmas time, but i couldn't be happier with them. God bless the NHS saved me £4000, shame it was their fault I needed my teeth replacing (plus about 6 more in the years to come, they are all still in at the moment, thank god)
