Not just a complaint but here is a real bug. I often listen to music while falling asleep. So I used Clock-> Timer and set a 1 hour timer and select the feature to put the ipod to sleep.

So, two nights ago, I woke up on the morning with a dead iPt.

If you navigate away from the Clock while the timer is counting down, and they you go back to check it, the alarm action gets default adjusted to a audio alert of some sort. The set preference for sleep ipod has been forgotten.

So if you want to fall asleep and listen to music you can't do anything after setting the timer.

APPLE, PLEASE FIX!

Can anyone corroborate my bug with the sleep timer?

One of the more annoying things is when the music just stops playing in safari.. its dissapointing..

Not reallya huge error but I hate how I can't have custom smart playlists when I have it set to sync with some playlist in iTunes. Such that I have my touch music playlist but I want to know what was recently added without having to sync my whole recently added playlist from iTunes. If it can have the top 25 list then there should be no reason why I can't had my own smart list there too.

And yes please fix the safari issues, talk about annoying. Makes me forget this is even an Apple product until I remember it says iPod in the upper left.

Where are the lyrics support? After I get some nice widget to get my lyrics for me and the old 5G now deemed pointless.

Another thing that would be nice if the clock would sync to the world clock over the internet without having to sync with the computer.

Don't know if this is a bug or just can't be helped, but -

Play any song in normal/portrait mode, then put the Touch in your pocket. Chances are you'll put it in vertically, with the headphone jack at the top.

Now, walk around for a bit, then remove the Touch from your pocket.

Many times when I do this, it's shifted into Cover Flow. But it's "upside down" CF, with the home button on the left. And, when I tilt back to portrait either way, or to landscape the other way, the Touch usually stays stuck in CF "upside down." Sometimes touching the album art will cause the device to "refresh" instantly back to the song-playing screen. Other times, I have to hit the home button - and that can either refresh the current song, or shoot me back to the top menu.

My Touch is also set to lock after a few minutes, so that may be an additional factor.

So, not sure if this is a bug, or just the accelerometer/software can't handle being in a pocket. In any event, only reinforces my view that the Touch is a great video player and subpar at everything else.

One other: if I'm playing a playlist and it finishes the last song, that's it. No auto-advancing to the next playlist - it just goes quiet. Is this standard iPod behavior? Yet another setting I can change? Or a bug?

Put repeat all on. Its in Settings->Music I think there will be something that says repeat, change it to repeat all.

Just tested - it sure as hell DOES go off, with some volume, thru the built-in speaker. Probably would be enough to wake you up in a quiet environment.

Now, whether it works while music is also playing, or the Touch is doing something else, is a different question (folks here say it can have trouble multitasking).

mine doesnt!!:(:(

Thanks so much. If anyone is game, another question would be if iCal events that are synched with the iPod Touch utilize the same speaker for alerts.

I don't think it's a very publicized feature, but at least with my 3G iPod, when I set any event in iCal to have an alarm, there is always two beeps in my house, one from my laptop and one from my iPod, which is super useful when I'm on the go and only have the iPod.

Anyone up to seeing if this works?!

Anyone able to test this out yet?
