Uh, apple, that's not really what was needed to be fixed with Siri.
Very poor video. A triumph of style over substance.
You're arguing as if the video presented here details every single tweak made to Siri. The impression I got watching the keynote and other WWDC videos is that they've been doing a lot of work on Siri. I'd venture a guess that, aside from just general "it should be better", Siri's promotion from "occasionally helpful assistant" on the iPhone to "primary/only mode of interaction" on the HomePod, has made such improvements more urgent. This is nice, but come on Apple, make changes to how Siri actually behaves. It’s downright incoherent at times.

My thoughts exactly."Listen to Siri's More Natural Voice!"
*only 4 seconds of the new voice in the two minute video*
This, all day. I think you nailed it.The on screen,home-button-sized circle, with Siri colors inside, that shows up in iOS11 right above the physical home button, seems like a hint as to what a new onscreen, Touch ID / home button / Siri control region may look like on the iPhone 8
I think it would be cool to give us Siri with accents like in Waze. A Colonel Sanders Siri would be awesome.
Make it soI just want Patrick Stewart for Siri.
Make it so![]()
Anything?TL;DR: anything Star Trek. Just give me Trek on my phone. Please.
My standard text message alert is the TOS beep-beep prompt for an incoming communicator transmission (not the more well-known clickety-clickety of opening a communicator). It actually works quite well (it's a high quality recording with no background noise, so it doesn't have that "playing a sound-clip" feel, it's short, non-intrusive, yet distinctive in a crowd, and because it's recognizable only to a few, it doesn't attract attention like most novelty "text tones").I want to customise Siri so that when I press the home button, it gives the little ready-room-door bleep.
