I'm really not understanding why the appleTV app exists. What problem is it trying to solve? All these features already exist. Unless you subscribe to so many services you can't even keep track of them, what is the draw of viewing through Apple's app?

Like she said said she wants to watch the new so-and-so show. How does the appleTV make that easier than not having the appleTV app?

I fell asleep around the 05:00 mark. Then ... "Beyond A Steel Sky" ??? WFT ? Brings memories. I couldn't care any less for all the other things that were/will be said in this event, they are not for me, and I am happy to realise that I don't even exist according to Apple, marketers, the whole industry. Just give me the game (though it would be really lame if it is tied to that damn Apple Store or a subscription service).

You can just click on a show and it'll take you into the app to watch the episode

Does anyone actually use the TV app now? I don't see how the "new" one is going to change that. And still no Netflix integration is a big problem.

I never have, and I use my ATV all the time. It's been useless to me.

Amazon has Grand Tour. I am sure they have something else, but filtering through the pay-per-view takes to long.

No you can pay to subscribe to individual cable channels. They have Eurosport and Hay U, the discovery channel and the history channel off head. There are more. I don’t use my fire TV often.
