I'm really not understanding why the appleTV app exists. What problem is it trying to solve? All these features already exist. Unless you subscribe to so many services you can't even keep track of them, what is the draw of viewing through Apple's app?

Like she said said she wants to watch the new so-and-so show. How does the appleTV make that easier than not having the appleTV app?

I like the Apple TV app. It pulls the new episode from the shows I watch and makes it easy to start playing it without having to use the channel app.

Subscribe by the channel (not bundles) is interesting, but the pricing will be the key. Channel selection seems very limited though, looks like a lot of companies launching their own streaming services (almost everyone) may not be a part of it.

Does the TV app coming to the Mac mean HDR will work properly? It seems like iTunes had issues.

Another article wrote that WSJ business/financial articles would be de-prioritized, reads as if they are not giving full access.

Yeah, I saw that in the WSJ article yesterday. Kind of confusing. It said the business/finance articles would be de-emphasized while the WSJ hired new reporters to focus on general/political/lifestyle news that would headline the Apple News content. The real question is what "de-emphasized" means. If it means locked up behind an individual paywall then this service will be substantially less relevant to my needs. I don't need more clickbait articles about politics or the Kardashians.

Since the WSJ is participating in AppleNews+ I expect to see some more details directly from them shortly.
