Okay Mission Control is a nice balance between Spaces and Expose. I certainly hope these gestures can be replaced with Mouse Button 3. Or 4, or 5.

So much for everyone who have been saying for years that full screen Windows apps are stupid and inefficient .

And what about those who use a drawing tablet and no apple mouse/trackpad? Basically all of the swiping/multitask stuff does nothing for me.

A couple of thoughts ...

- Developers might sell more, because of the tighter integration. It's much easier to make impulse purchases

- There is no saying you can't go and download and install stuff the old fashioned way

More thoughts:

It might be CHEAPER for developers, since they're not paying for server time, bandwidth and people to maintain that. Or the cost they're paying to Apple might be counterbalanced by massively increased exposure.

Wow, those 10 extra pixels at the top mean so much more space.

Unless they have moved everything over to 64Bit this will be slow as crap.

So they are now saying mission control is magical, it's a rebranding of something that worked perfectly well before.

Lion guy was hella nervous.

On another note i havent really seen anything to make me go wow. Maybe they'll do a awesome UI revamp...

They were right - all the window management things were getting out of control...Mission Control looks like a fantastic attempt to get them under control again.

"We've put everything into one place."

Where everybody knows your name, because Facebook sold your information,
and they're always glad you came, geotracking has you now,
You wanna be where you can see, your facetime has been hacked,
our troubles are all the same, over sharing on the internet
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

The whole "Back to the Mac" thing is really disappointing. I assumed that Steve was talking about bringing new innovations to the Mac, not bringing iOS features over to Mac OS X. :(

Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed with Steve and Apple.

What they're talking about here is a huge jump forward for most non-techie users. No installation process, minimal learning curve, one-stop-shop for new software, vastly simpler user interface without loosing power features, consistency between portable devices and desktop.... IF they pull off the implementation properly (and don't stuff up the existing OS which it looks like they haven't so the power user stuff is still there and not hidden) this makes 10.7 VASTLY easier and more useful to the majority of users than Windows 7 or, for that matter, 10.6.

I don't have anything against a mac app, as long as they control and moderate what apps are put on there.

The app store right now is just a nightmare...

As of 11:08 I would call this thing a snoozer - poorest presentation I have seen from Steve during the iLife yada yada.

His minions are certainly not awe inspiring based on their presentations.
