Won't the touch bar force touch typists to look at the keyboard? Seems kinda like a step backward. I thought it would be really cool at first but then I realize I hardly ever look at my keyboard.
In fairness, he was smiling and clearly being sarcastic.
Now there is an EXTRA tap just to unfold the virtual buttons, didn't you saw it????
I'm not sure. I was really excited for this, but I'm leaning away ...For you non-mbp buyers: what say you?
OLED bar sounded cool, but this demo is changing my mind. Does Apple think everyone looks at their keyboard while typing? How the hell is selecting emoticons for a text box easier on the OLED bar than a screen UI? Looking down to see suggested recipients in email is somehow easier than it already was?
Waiting to see how I can use the non-existing function keys in my IDE.
Agree. Especially excited about what developers can do with it. I believe any program can use it.Not sure why everyone is harping on the touch bar. I think it will be useful. It's the first step toward a completely contextual keyboard on a notebook.

I DO NOT LOOK AT MY KEYBOARD WHEN TYPING (AND I DONT KNOW WHERE MY CAPS LOCK IS EITHER) - TOUCH BAR SEEMS A BAD UX IDEA TO ME.
PREPARE FOR NECKACHE FROM ALL THE LOOKING DOWN!
