But it does effectively the same thing. Long press on Android is like half a second so its really not that long. Besides, having to press hard and hold to do certain actions seems to take just the same amount of time.

You can press, long press, AND force touch on a home screen icon. So your argument is invalid. How do you not see the clear difference here?

And again, iPhone has had long touch since 2007. But whatever, you guys have made up your mind
