I think if you already have the iPad, iPhone ATV etc. then there was little here that would encourage you to go out and upgrade.

ATV is just about dead outside the U.S. - totally eclipsed by what else is now out there.

Speaking personally, my Apple upgrade fund will remain untouched for another year. Plenty for the fanboys to rave about but little for the sensible buyer.

The signs are there of a company that's running out of steam. Don't get me wrong, Apple will still make plenty of money but they just appear to be devoid of the next big idea.

LOL ios still steals from Android at least when Forstall did it he did right/better. iOs 5 and 6 were rock solid (very few bugs) except for apple maps which was more about apple being arrogant and wanting to stop using google maps.

I'd miss some features but the overall user experience was way cleaner back with ios 6. Especially when jailbroken.

Right.. And not Google trying to crap on Apple's head with substandard map apps and call it lunch....And thinking Apple would crupple... Sorry Google, you lost.

BTW, I still use a 3GS with 6 (as a music player) and you can't be more wrong in your misplaced nostalgia.

As for the rest, prove it or lose it.

BTW, most things "stolen" were already in IOS jailbreaks before they came to Android (not to mention on the desktop for years before that on OSX and Windows). Someone who supposeldy is all about jailbreak should know that.

Unless you think screen size is an Android innovation... Was it one in 2007 when Apple introduced a much bigger screen than previous phones or only when Google and Samsung says it is?

Maybe it has something to do with the lack of progress with apple products and for me ios as well? Apple was on the right track in the iphone 4 era but now it's a lot of buggy os releases with some clumsily wedged in features and products focused primarily on their bottom line.

This is not the same company Jobs ran. Forstall may have messed up apple maps but it feels like it was really rushed and an unfair reason to get rid of a guy that knew how to introduce new features with a real thought to ease of use and efficiency.

I'm actually shocked that some people don't see this.

It sold 5 times less phones during the Iphone 4 launch than now... So, I guess Apple sure did something "wrong" since then hey... As for lack of progress. You must be blind.

Well, I waded through all the Apple haters and frat boy BS in this thread, got halfway through and gave up looking for good comments. This website has really gone downhill in the last few months and not as much fun to visit.

A lot of the keynote was pretty cool and I almost want to upgrade my iPhone 6 but I may wait for 7 if the cost to upgrade is too high. I was disappointed they didn't discuss home automation with the TV but the Siri commands are pretty awesome and something I will definitely use. Will be contacting my Apple business rep to order the new TV!

I think the Apple TV box will do homekit, it's baked into IOS and this is a veriant of IOS; maybe they just didn't have time to get into considering the long event already.

So what.

I still think its cool.
It's very cool, the zoe app created little montages with filters and cool music out of your gallery snaps automatically.. Very impressive..
Sadly tho, Apple the innovator is now Apple the immitator..

A new take on long press is hardly ground breaking now is it...

Nope but then Apple copied Microsoft with the iPad Pro as well :)
And Samsung with the s pen, or the note 12inch.. It's a catalgue of copying.. I feel really sorry for the lads who put so much hope and dreams into Big A, only to be let down time after time these days...

Google maps is a substandard maps app? Umm pretty sure most would agree Google maps set the standard a long time back and still are. Even among apple fanboys you would be in the minority that think Apple maps is better. The fact that Google maps is multi platform alone makes it better. Apple maps may have come a long way but Google maps is at least just as good and in my opinion better.

Umm you are comparing ios 6, which would have been optimally built for the iphone 5, to how it performs on a model that came out 3 years earlier? Do I even have to explain the flaw in that comparison? At least run it on a 4S to be fair.

Last time I checked Apple does not look fondly on the JB community and had the same opportunity to introduce the features that Android beat them to. Sorry you have to compare stock to stock. Most people do not jailbreak. Not sure why you are comparing features on computer OS's to smartphone os's.

Apple was far behind going to 5 inch and above screens when customer demand was there. Not arguing that the 3.5 inch screen was revolutionary when it first came out on the iphone. Apple was boss up to the iphone 4 and first few ipads. Now they release buggy OS's and services with good but not revolutionary hardware. Just not sure they are worth paying the premium for anymore.

Never understand why people look at certain brands like they can do no harm or slip in how good they are. I get it if you work for Apple but consumers should be a bit more objective. I don't think Apple is living up to pre Cook standards but to each his own.

Phil is the best of them all. If I'd pick the CEO from the guys they have right now it would be him. Eddy and Craig are good too.
