lets all un-tuck our shirts and look all slobby and cool.

I probably wouldn't mind if there was really cool stuff being unveiled.

So after watching this whole keynote, and knowing that the "S" products are always just minimal updates... I think this year is the year I skip the new iPhone and upgrade my laptop...

Can anyone explain the whole iPhone upgrade there starting in the U.S.?
It's essentially a lease like NEXT 12 on at&t. While it includes AppleCare, it is really just built into the price. Nothing to get excited about really.

I think that ipad pro looks amazing.. as a photographer my MacBook pro just went down but I was thinking I enjoyed having a ipad only and a desktop and iphone. The ipad pro is definitely my next apple product. I haven't liked a lot of things apple has came out with lately but that ipad pro is def a must have...
As a photographer you should know that you can't even come close to a proper editing working on a tablet. Unless you're the type of photographer who only uses your iPhone and VSCO for editing.

So the iPhone is unlocked do you have to choose a plan?

I'm from the UK so I currently bought iPhone out right and then bought a SIM only plan. So I assume with this you literally pay for the iPhone and stick any SIM card in?

I'm surprised they emphasize the two year contract prices still. I thought most people didn't purchase phones like that anymore. I know with AT&T I can only get the two year contract price from the AT&T store and not the Apple Store.

That's because people aren't at all used to seeing that iPhones are really $649 and up in price! Basically add $450 to the contract price. Since the carriers are starting to switch to payment plans, Apple only showed the old contract prices and then showed us monthly payment prices. I still think it will be best to buy outright and then sell and upgrade each year if that's what you want. $30 a month for a year is $360 and that's more than the depreciation on a phone will be.

Just went through the keynote slides on Macrumors and sounded pretty underwhelming. iPad pro sounds like a cool idea to eventually replace a laptop a la surface but I would like it to have a version of OsX, some more inputs, or at least iOs and siri to allow setting 3rd party apps as the default and also I'd like to be able to see and access my HD/storage.

Iphone charging dock? Really? I guess they want to save wireless charging for the iphone 7 so it actually has something new. Ugh

Apple is just getting stale and falling behind. I keep looking for a reason to go back to an iphone and buying an iPad to replace my macbook eventually but at this rate I may be appleless once my macbook dies.

I don't get it, they already have 3d touch. Why design a special stylus for the iPad pro? They could've just built 3d touch in and you could use any of the 3rd party styluses on the market.

Well, I waded through all the Apple haters and frat boy BS in this thread, got halfway through and gave up looking for good comments. This website has really gone downhill in the last few months and not as much fun to visit.

A lot of the keynote was pretty cool and I almost want to upgrade my iPhone 6 but I may wait for 7 if the cost to upgrade is too high. I was disappointed they didn't discuss home automation with the TV but the Siri commands are pretty awesome and something I will definitely use. Will be contacting my Apple business rep to order the new TV!

I think it would be impossible to get the 3D touch surface to know when you are holding the stylus at different angles to get different kinds of stroke widths and that watercolor effect.

iPhone 6S and plus have 1GB of RAM this would be a major disappointment. WTF Apple!!!!!

I was told by a apple employee that the other countries outside of the US. People buy their iphones straight out with no contract. It's only in the US that the carriers let us basically lease at a cheaper rate with our contracts...

Maybe it has something to do with the lack of progress with apple products and for me ios as well? Apple was on the right track in the iphone 4 era but now it's a lot of buggy os releases with some clumsily wedged in features and products focused primarily on their bottom line.

This is not the same company Jobs ran. Forstall may have messed up apple maps but it feels like it was really rushed and an unfair reason to get rid of a guy that knew how to introduce new features with a real thought to ease of use and efficiency.

I'm actually shocked that some people don't see this.

What are you talking about,

every high end phone has 32GB as a minimum, Apple keeping the 16GB base just smacks of greed, essentially forcing people to pay more money if they plan to keep any media on there phone which is made even worse now by the fact that the phone can recoard 4K.

This just made my choice easier. Thank you Apple for keeping a device with 16gb. I will now be looking some where else.

iOS 6 was a joke, and iOS 5 took features from Android. Maps was just the final straw.
