I was thinking the same things until they explained it. Not the same thing at all.

It might be two physically separate drives but the concept is the same. But Apple still isn't the first to do this, all Z68 and Z77 chipsets (Sandy and Ivy Bridge) support the exact feature that Apple is marketing. You can plug in a mSATA SSD and Intel has built it software that takes care of the caching.

Although they're not mutually exclusive, but I'd rather Apple spend their energy on making the computer (laptop or desktop) faster rather than thinner, especially on the pro line. I don't mind they make the Air thin, but pls don't do that on the PRO!
