Live Coverage of Apple's iPhone X Event at Steve Jobs Theater

Surprised by no HomePod news. Will there be another event between now and Christmas or will it get a ‘quiet’ release?

this is exactly true. There really only needs to be 2 different ones, 3 technically with the use of a plus size.

Even the SE is available with 128.

It is an embarrassment that their top-notch phone is produced with 64gb ram chips. What a waste, what a greed...

Some of the more interesting things of the iPhon 8 / iPhone X:

- Bluetooth 5.0
- Galileo and QZSS (also GPS/Glonass)
- NFC reading (? so finally NFC tags are usable?)
- Dolby Digital Plus
 
It's disappointing that they got rid of the 128GB option. 64GB to 256GB is a huge leap. Maybe they'll offer 256 at the 128 price but I'm really not holding my breath.

Thanks, I wasn't quite sure. So if you remove the tax (20%) the price comes to approximately £799. If $999 converts to £751 then there's a slight markup on it, but it's not as drastic as I thought. In the US, the prices you see do not include taxes.

This is my point exactly! As 'upgraded' as the specs can be, your average consumer (i.e. me) will never be able to tell the difference between the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7 - bar the wireless charging. That's literally the only noticeable difference and I'm not willing to pay an extra £130 just for wireless charging!

I wasn't talking about unlocking. Swipes instead of virtual button are awkward, CC on top is awkward, unibrow is awkward, landscape video looks awkward. In a nutshell X looks awkward.
