Marc Newson is there. Not sure if we read anything into that...

Aside from being friends I believe, this could be also indicative he is their due to the Apple Watch launch as well, being that he was a major contributor to the design with Ive with the Watch.

Apple's first-ever event at the Steve Jobs Theater begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, where it is widely expected to unveil the iPhone X, a new Apple TV with 4K video, and Apple Watch Series 3 models with LTE connectivity.

We should also be hearing final details and the official release date for iOS 11, and likely macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 as well. And, of course, there may be plenty of other announcements and surprises in the cards.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website and via the Apple Events app on Apple TV. We've shared instructions on how to watch along with a list of when the keynote starts in time zones around the world.

In addition to Apple's video stream, we will be updating this article with live blog coverage--no need to refresh--and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds.

Highlights from the event and separate news stories regarding today's announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

Apple's online store is currently down in advance of the event. It should be accessible again shortly after the keynote.

Beats1 is down wonder if it has anything to do with the announcements today

Psyched.

This will be the zenith of keynotes and I reckon the start of a new era for Apple.
Oh? Do you know something no one else does, because so far there isn't a rumor of a single innovative feature on ANY of their products expected to be announced today.

Hopefully Apple realized how bad and overpriced Beats headphones are and is shutting them down.

It’s all in the presentation.

Dear MacRumours, I will be watching but not with the same anticipation, excitement or delight this year. You ruined it all by publishing everything from the stolen firmware. No delight this year - unless Apple has a surprise or two that you guys didn't ruin. Pressing delete for the MacRumours link in my bookmarks now.
Then don't forget to delete 9to5mac and numerous other mac sites that started posting the details shortly after 9to5mac and Macrumors posted their details.

Although I'm never as excited for phone events as I am for laptop events (I'm old-school), I am excited that this is the biggest phone update in a while (since the iPhone 6, I guess). I'm also curious to see how they will make the best out of questionable changes (like removing Touch ID).

Which wasn’t true in that case. There were items that came out in the keynote that he didn’t know about.

It all comes down to how close Apple held their cards, and how correct the leaks are.

Regardless of leaks, I still like seeing the details.

Even knowing what the iPhone 4 looked like years ago (even further back), still left a LOT of details.

Nope. He predicted everything along with the specs at that "other" Apple website for the September 2015 event: iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Apple TV 4, iPad Pro, iPad Mini 4, and Apple Watch.

That's why I laugh at people who are upset with the leaks this year when just two years ago, we had the greatest leak ever. The amount and accuracy of the leaks was so great it got Marc a job at Bloomberg.

Great to see Woz, this is a first by him for an iPhone launch I believe. This is going to be one hell of a party.
Woz would be worth $333B now based on original stake so free drinks for that man.

I managed to avoid the leaks and rumors, and also visited this site, its all about diverting your eyes.

I was able to do some of that. But, it's hard when a full size picture of the supposed iPhone just stares you in the face :)

Not at all a troll. I'm gonna enjoy the keynote just like you guys on a 12 inch Samsung Super AMOLED panel. Wait till you see the Samsung Super AMOLED screen on your iPhone X..... amazing.

No one here gives a ****.
