We're like a load of children having waited the past year praying for our brand new bike, looking at photo's in the catalogues, showing our parents what we really want, only to discover on Christmas morning when we unwrap it, dad has painted the old one and put some stickers on it instead :(

Sounds like you have some childhood issues ;)

Well some of us are like adults who realize the old car's body is just fine but having a kick-@$$ new engine under the hood would make it perfect.

Btw, in my screenshot, did anyone else notice on the lower right the "new MacBook Air"????

The current MacBook Air is still the new MacBook Air. That icon is on every retail store page.

It's the newest product (along with Mac Mini and LED Cinema Display) in the entire lineup, as of right now.

I think that today we can see "only" a 4s iPhone with performance bump and new camera but no major design change!

how are your watching it please tell me!

People posted at the top of this thread that CNN will be streaming it. If you go back to the first page there's a link.

Nothing is up yet they're just showing it's tentatively supposed to start at 1PM.

MacRumors is saying there's supposed to be a stream of it via Apple also.

I'm super people will be making post of links on where to see a stream once it actually gets going in 30 min.

I'm hoping it's that easy at least! Either way I'm stoked to see what's going on... I've been waiting way too long for this announcement...

My prediction is that Apple will announce the iPhone 4S. No major redesign just beefier specs and perhaps a better antenna. The teardrop device ends up being the new iPod Touch and iOS 5 improvements will also be talked about including the much anticipated "Assistant" functionality.

Hopefully I'm wrong though. I really want an iPhone 5.

:(

Probably correct....makes no sense to bring out both a new 4S and a 5, unless the 4S is the discount model with 8GB and the 5 is the new design in 16, 32 and 64 GB flavors....the disappointment only comes from the fact that we read about this stuff, get in our minds what we want and end up with something less....

I've got the truck loaded up with my camping gear and portable satellite gear and I'm heading down to the Apple store now so I can be the first one in line. I can monitor the keynote while I'm there. I'm trying to get there before LTD.

really? you'd rather have an old car with an old body and souped up engine than a BRAND new car with a totally new designed sleek body plus the souped up engine? I call BS

A perfectly sleek '57 Chevy body with a shiny new engine would be the definition of "perfect" for a lot of people.

I'll eat my hat if it's anything other than a 4S

So much hype and excitement about the hardware, but honestly it's iOS5 and iCloud that have me tuning in this afternoon. Can't wait for Apple to get the software end of things better and smoother here (like iTunes, and iPhoto ... oh, wait :D )

No, seriously - the mapping/GPS sh #t, the wireless syncing ... you know Steve hated MobileMe and was embarrassed with what was put out there, and you know the industry is going in this direction huge, so ... come through big today Apple.

And if it can all be done on a relatively inexpensive iPhone 4 with an upgraded processor, more RAM, better camera, better GPS ... that's gravy! And you know that's coming today. It's the user experience that Apple dominates with, not hardware specifics. Tying it all together with iOS5/iCloud is what's gonna steal the day. Who freaking cares what shape the back of a phone is or what they call it? :p :)

Hope you have lots of ketchup to cover up the taste of hat...

oh come on, we're not actually talking about cars here  if anyone here truly prefers the recycled iPhone 4 with improved specs over a completely redesigned, sleek new form factor with new iOS and hardware, i'll go running in the street naked.
