sigh so asthma app only for the US...

Really would be into this for my son, here in the backwaters of the UK...

My guess is that they need to sort out regulatory issues in every country where they roll this out. The US laws are quite difficult as it is.

This keynote sucks! Who cares about better medical research, I want what I want NOW!

You should all be ashamed. This isn't some data tracking for the NSA. It's opening up the power of iOS devices for those who want to better medical research. It's a choice to download said apps....

Agreed. Wholly.

If you live in the U.S., look up HIPPA. It protects most medical information.

I don't so can't. But thanks anyway.

Not sure what to make of this? Medical research from a phone? I would see it as a 'as well as' device, as in NEVER to be the only device used. And it should never ever replace a doctor.

Wonder what cut of money Apple makes on this?

Research kit . Awesome and all, but lets talk products, 30 min in......

This medical stuff is boring, but it's the kind of boring that will make Apple even more money, cementing iOS devices in the medical industry. As a shareholder, that's huge!

Sure, I can see how it's useful, but it is boring.

It's "boring" but important information that sets up a new use case for mobile devices. Now is the time to get the word out when everyone is watching to see the news on the Apple Watch.
