Apple makes billions on hardware. Why compromise customers by selling their data?
It just doesn't make sense for their business model.
This Research kit stuff is somehow neat, and horrifying at the same time.

- apple can't see your apple pay transaction data
- apple can't see your iMessages content (see their fight w/ the DOJ over this)
nothing is better than kodi tbh. I am able to watch all my tv shows and movies in 1080. And i get all my sports for free. If you wanted to watch live tv then you might have some issues but they have a few channels. I think that user just is anti kodi.
Give it an App Store... Allow 'normal' people to develop for it. Allow all those MFI controllers to be pairable with it so you can play ios games on it.
So many things they could do with it...
MASSIVE congratulations to Apple for promoting health and disease diagnosis BEFORE promoting their new products. I love this keynote already - really makes me happy inside. I have a friend with dementia and my brother in law has MS, so this is fantastic work.

Still, Research kit is more interesting then a boring price drop on the Apple TV because it's so old tech wise now.... I was thinking they were going to announced a new model! And then... no.
I prefer SMB for videos...works much better for me...and I don't need another piece of hardware.
As someone who manages clinical research, all I have to say is this is absolutely game changing. The open source aspect is incredible. My jaw is still on the floor.
