yes, which requires inventing new tech, like displays that use 30% less power. or a logic board thats 67% smaller...this stuff doesn't fall off trees, it has to be invented.

it's not a reinvention. It's a refinement. I don't really care what they had to do to achieve it (although I do, but the general public wouldn't). The functionality is pretty much the same. It's a just another laptop that does things every other laptop can do. The Air is already small enough.

Not sure if serious...

I am being serious lol. I don't really know a lot about processors, so excuse my ignorance. I currently use an iMac with 2.5 ghz processor, so a 1.1 ghz processor seems like a pretty big step down. I tend to have a lot of tabs open, and do word processing while the videos play. My iMac currently seems fine, but I'm worried about the step down.

I think I saw people looking at their watch to see how much longer they had to sit there.

Apple is really dragging this out. Apple knows everyone wants to know the price of the Apple Watch, and they are stretching it out as long as they can.

"A revolutionary new MacBook, recapping the Apple Watch, HBO Now... Are you getting it? These are not three separate boring keynotes!".

Damn it. Even the WWDC presentations are more interesting and have more captivating speakers.

Does anyone else think that in a parallel timeline Craig is also doing this demo and it's actually exciting and interesting?

Nope, so far there isn't anything too interesting about the watch. It might have been interesting if Apple had started with this before any other smartwatches were around. Then they might have been able to use the time when a smartwatch is totally new to figure out how to make it worthwhile.

It'll sell just because it is from Apple, they are going to have to figure something out to keep it selling past the first gen.

The fact that they think millions are going to spend 500-800 dollars on this thing is amazing to me..

I think they are overestimating the pull of their brand. I love Apple products, but I'm not stupid. You could buy a notebook computer for the price of this thing.

This all seems like a real big mistake to me.

bored

I don't want to take away from Apple products. All of this is great technology. But Steve could make it riveting. Tim and this group are making me remember an old local Saturday morning tv show where an aging minor news guy would play with toys from the sponsoring toy store. Tim has all the charisma of your uncle who asked you how you liked school.
