Pretty much everything you can do on the watch seems more complicated and frustrating than just using the iPhone. Being linked to the iPhone all the time makes it even more ridiculous. The first major Apple product I've seen as just a toy.

Dude, I was going to post the same thing and your comment happens to be the first I looked at. I'm thinking to myself why not whip out the phone you already have in your pocket; the one with the bigger screen.
I have a LG smartwatch but I only use it to receive quick and simple notifications. It works fine for that purpose. But any more than that it becomes more efficient to whip out the phone with a 5.7" display.

with the insane pricing (but justified I suppose in the realm of luxury watches, etc) bound to be announced for the more premium models, they should allow the computer/screen components to be swappable.

I just can't see people rationally spending 3k on a watch that will have planned obsolescence in maybe even a year.

People don't buy rolexes and concern themselves with "keeping up with hardware" to do its job.

Granted, watch does a lot more than tell time, but still.

Anyone else consider this?

edit: 1049-1099 for top end steel, yep.

The videos are better than the rehearsed and awkward exchanges, or the guy fiddling with his glasses and opening garage doors.

"Aluminum is 60% stronger than..." So basically, the aluminum they are using is actually aircraft grade aluminum? All of their aluminum used in their phones and computers are basically bottom-tier grade. Looks like they are finally catching up with the times and matching other brand's quality materials (iPhone/computers are 6004 which is basically scrap-grade while other phones/smartwatches are 6011-6014).

There better be a special place in hell for the flak that brought the word "curated" back into the world.
