How am I being a sheep? Dell's 27 inch 5k costs more than Apple's iMac. It's incredible.

of course 5k cost a lot. 5K is expensive i know that.but..for iMac product? that thing isn't going to last compared to nMP. an don't start comparison debate with me.

another thing...Don't tell people to cry elsewhere...mind your own business.

Mostly fluff. Reckon much stuff incoming but not ready to ship yet. Reckon we'll see another keynote before the year is out.

I'd rather see a new TB Display than the new iMac 5K. Why would you buy such a great display integrated with a computer that will age out faster than the display will.

Still hoping there's a silent update to the TB display and that it can be combined with a new mini! :)

I want a TB display at 5K to use with my MacPro. Why not Apple?
Makes no sense.

I am pretty sure the nMP can handle it.

I don't know what drugs Apple is on, but 27" 4K displays are more like $500-600 right now, not $2,500.

i was surprised actually by how aggressive apple priced their retinal imac. A 4k display on the same quality as apple cost around $1000 min, add on the computer hardware which is another $600-800 as it comes with fusion drive included, then if you consider the software all comes for free. It really isnt that much more expensive than buying a crappy looking pc loaded with windows and a 4k display. Not to mention the much higher end look/feel and all in one integration the imac has.

Not bad value.

Mini 3 is still using the A7

They could have at least put the A8 in it.

The Mini 3 is the current rMini with Touch ID.

That's pretty ridiculous.

I was looking to upgrade merely because I want to give my Retina Mini to my mother, but paying for a Mini 3 seems like a complete waste of time unless more details come out.

I'll update to the Yosemite release build tomorrow and I'll do a fresh install I think, having been running the betas for a while.

Just to ask: I heard that if you do a fresh install, it's pointless restoring from Time Machine because that brings back every single file from your old OS. Is that true?

I watched the hoping to update my iPad mini 1st gen, but really? No A8 (or X) love for the mini? [/sigh] Last year's iPad event gave me hope that the iPad mini would stay on par with the iPad Air from then onward. Well, I guess it's still a big leap from my 1st gen, but was hoping for more.

the iPad air 2 has nothing that makes me want to upgrade from the first Air. and I was so hoping for a new macbook air with retina

Mini 3 will be 1GB for sure, they only added touch Id and maybe upgraded camera?

for iPad Air 3 we have to wait until teardown, I am still hoping A8X with 3 billion transistors has 2GB.

If it's 1 GB for the Air 3, that gives me confidence that the Mini can receive Dual Window support. The Mini 3 is not even worth it for me since I wouldn't upgrade on a good iPad without a need. My Mini 2 is great and works well.
