He mentions every Apple product category as the "foundation" of Apple and yet neglects to mention the iPod. Then says music drives Apple, but no mention of the iPod? Uh . . .

At the end of the day, use the device to function what you need, not look at front, back, size and sh..t. Go use Android and Windows phones to see how much you'll miss iOS and Apple product. On top of all these, customer supports and services, you can't get it anywhere like you do at Apple stores. Go to these competitors and treat yourself a s.h.t load of crappy products. I'm here to stay and hundred millions others too.

Yes, that is a problem. iOS is good, I am used to it, I have all the apps I need. I don't fancy moving to Android one bit (but maybe this is simply because I don't know it and it might turn out to be decent).

On the other hand iPhone6 is far below what I expect from Apple, and below what the competition is making. It really is a mid range phone sold at a premium price. I do not want to keep rewarding Apple with my money out of habit, otherwise they have no incentive to make something good.

So maybe time to make the switch, and then next year reconsider depending on what Apple comes up with next year. At least I will have more options and won't be locked in to one brand.

Sound quality over current (4.0+) Bluetooth is fine. I design award-winning Hi-Fi speakers for a living and I think that market is rapidly dying, Bluetooth is where all the business is.

OK, I'm interested to hear that you think so. At this point when I'm looking at the iPhone the first thing I want to hear about is the sound quality, and they rarely talk about it. I just can't imagine Bluetooth sound ever matching up to real equipment, but I respect your opinion and I'll look into what's happening there.

While I'll be definitely be selling my Pebble since I never use it anymore, I can't see myself buying an Apple watch. The only thing it would be useful for me would be for notifications and the time. Thats not worth $350 to me.

What about the battery life? They didn't talk about the battery life. Must be not so phenomenal that they wouldn't mention it.

Seriously people? The AppleWatch is the most exciting thing they have come out with since original iPhone. This thing blows me away, exceeds my expectations by 10x. How do you not like this? Incredible. Take my money now.

It's a box with rounded corners on a strap.

You don't think you, yes YOU personally could not have thought of anything more imaginative that a rounded cornered box on a strap ?

For those of you saying the AppleWatch will flop, take a screen grab and come back your statement in 2015 and see how wrong you are. This thing is going to sell like crazy...

My guess is that it avoids the need for a "bezel" like the Moto 360 (that black bar along the bottom). The real story is the input mechanism. It's another "why didn't anyone think of this before" move. Samsung, Moto, et. al. used multitouch on a shrunken screen.

The Apple Watch can come in many different designs. Once they work the kinks out and get the manufacturing up, I'm sure we'll see multiple designs, just as we did with the iPod line.

The Watch won't be an iPhone-like product in that people keep watches for a long time (phones were always a 2-year product given contracts). It will be a secondary product. More than a hobby, but probably something like the iPad long term.

True. Like the rest it'll come into its own in rev 2 or 3.

Neat. NFC payment on the watch.

Wait. What happened to the big deal about NFC payments being secured by TouchId?

Couldn't hear the audio. Did he say anything about that?

--

Also, did they mention anything about their NFC implementation supporting peer to peer mode for talking to other NFC devices?

i honestly dont get the point. it doesnt even have gps built in so you still have to carry around your even bigger iphone now for a run
