Nothing interesting to talk about

Let's have a rock concert instead... ?!?!

Wow.

The products *WERE* the event in Jobs day.

I'd be more impressed if U2 did a song with Dr. Dre.

They could literally sell out together right on stage for Tim Cook.

Why would anyone use a watch to do the same thing you can do w/ a phone that has a bigger screen and is easier to use? I think the whole wearable trend is dumb, but I was hoping Apple would prove me wrong with their design. Guess not. Wearables are dumb.

okay so I guess the Apple Watch is at the same point as the 1st iphone.
Maybe in a couple of years it will have SIM card slot, WiFi, speaker, BlueTooth etc etc etc.
Friends have always said, never buy the first model of anything, always wait a couple of generations, or at least until the major design flaws have been overcome.

Oh well.

I'm disappointed in apple right now.. not entirely sure why. The watch is probably going to flop though. Who the hell cares about these things? Plus it's 1/5th as good looking as the moto 360 or whatever it's called.

So that's it now? Very underwhelmed. I think I need to stroke my dog to cheer myself up (was rubbing money on my monitor to throw on a good new iPhone and watch).

Yes, that is a problem. iOS is good, I am used to it, I have all the apps I need. I don't fancy moving to Android one bit (but maybe this is simply because I don't know it and it might turn out to be decent).

On the other hand iPhone6 is far below what I expect from Apple, and below what the competition is making. It really is a mid range phone sold at a premium price. I do not want to keep rewarding Apple with my money out of habit, otherwise they have no incentive to make something good.

So maybe time to make the switch, and then next year reconsider depending on what Apple comes up with next year. At least I will have more options and won't be locked in to one brand.

I hear and read this all the time (i.e. 'all the money I've spent that locks me into ...). If you were to buy a different phone with a different ecosystem, how much money does it take to repurchase apps? I guess the only issue is if you purchased movies? It just seems like switching ecosystems isn't the hardship financially I read about.

Neat. NFC payment on the watch.

Wait. What happened to the big deal about NFC payments being secured by TouchId?

Couldn't hear the audio. Did he say anything about that?

--

Also, did they mention anything about their NFC implementation supporting peer to peer mode for talking to other NFC devices?

No, they didn't address it, and yes, it's confusing...

Seriously people? The AppleWatch is the most exciting thing they have come out with since original iPhone. This thing blows me away, exceeds my expectations by 10x. How do you not like this? Incredible. Take my money now.
Yeah, get a bigger phone just to use the tiny screen on the watch. Count me out.

Ok, so what's the big white building for??

Got to assume product demo zone.

What about the battery life? They didn't talk about the battery life. Must be not so phenomenal that they wouldn't mention it.

They said all day battery at one point during the keynote, so there is a rough idea. I would assume they are working over the next 4 months or so to try and improve whatever that number is now. There's a reason this thing is going to be delayed until after Christmas and that's probably top of the list.

This watch it going to be Apple's first big failure in while, that thing looks dated and so does the interface.

Might be Cook's undoing. Seems like a Me-To item with no Apple hooks. Just not seeing it all. Nothing special or Apple like. Did they mention battery life?

A decade long collaboration with U2...except for that period when they got pissy about something and shilled for Blackberry.

In the past, the musical guests at these events made some sense, because Apple was debuting new iPods and iTunes features.

What's the point of this? The iPod didn't even warrant a mention in Tim's list of tentpole products for the company.

But..oh yeah, we have a music app, and we like music!

WTF. Are they kidding with this watch?! Its basically a heart rate monitor and pedometer. Where are all the sensors everyone was expecting? Talk about disappointment. What the actual *****!

Best product pipeline my ass.
