Display a black screen on your phone for an hour then display a white one for an hour and compare the battery usage. Light takes power to create, dark doesn't. If messages and other frequently used apps are switching to brighter (white) backgrounds you will use battery faster.
I would normally agree with you...but Steve is the reason we were stuck with the old design and the skeuomorphism. I think Steve actually hurt iOS with keeping Forstall around.
iOS7 is gorgeous and looks modern.
you have got to be kidding me. i bought a galaxy s4 and i couldnt see the screen outdoors, indoors it was so saturated it mademe sick. the UI stuttered and lagged so bad i thought i had a bad unit, and that was with 0 processes running. the swipe screen animation was like 8 frames per second and the strongest part of the unit is the glass screen.. not smart. i gave it an honest try but jellybean is cluttered. the last straw was i got a call while i had my left hand full of bags. i couldnt hold the phone.. i think this is why theyre making a galaxy mini..

I've mentioned a few things I don't like and yes, I like iOS7 so far, and own an iPhone 5.

I've never bought a new laptop (or mac at all) right after an announcement, what's the best way to reserve one? The local Apple store just told me they have "no information" and to watch the site.

Yeah, you notice this when you use multiple platforms on a daily basis. The only thing keeping me from Ubuntu right now is games and with Steam on Linux, that might not be a problem much longer.
