The Mac Pro looks promising, but again, that's way overdue. Not upgrading the remaining notebook line with Haswell processors is just, well, inexplicable. I mean, seriously! If you want to stay at the edge of innovation, the least you could do is adopt the mainstream processor across your line...

They will get to it. It just won't be today. It will probably be a month or two in time for the back-to-school rush and when the Haswell chips are in better supply. They aren't going to stick with Ivy Bridge for another year. Mac announcements come all the time. WWDC is mostly a software event, not a hardware event.

TRHILLED to see iOS 7, has some awesome features I am looking forward to. As much as I have been an Android fan in the past, I LOVE my iPhone and cannot see myself going back (and I've had a ton of Android devices, including Nexus's).

However, did anyone else see a trashcan when they showed the Mac Pro? I can't get over it .. I just want to throw stuff in there.

You don't need to, iOS is switching to Android. I guess Apple is officially admitting they were doing it wrong the whole time and are playing the Me Too game now.

Basically. I'm on the phone with Verizon to see how much a galaxy s4 would be. I'll keep my iphone 5 of course though, but this one lost me..

Booo! lol

Fandroids when Android copies iOS: "Pfft, Apple didn't do this first. I saw this on Futurama like 6 years ago. Besides, it's just the natural evolution of touchscreen computing."

Fandroids when iOS copies Android: "Lulz, Apple is so lame, ANDROID FTW!!!"

The good news for MacRumors is they get a rush of new forum users telling us how awesome their Samsung Galaxy S 4 Deluxe Turbo Plus devices are.
No one is original anymore. It mostly revolves around locking you in with services now for a long term continuous and predictable revenue stream.

Display a black screen on your phone for an hour then display a white one for an hour and compare the battery usage. Light takes power to create, dark doesn't. If messages and other frequently used apps are switching to brighter (white) backgrounds you will use battery faster.

Actually, according to this: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=fact-or-fiction-black-is

Black on LCD screens actually uses more energy than white.

(Could be BS I'm no expert)

Nervous... no.
Laughing at the praises being given for features that have been available on "other" platforms for a while now.
It is an improvement over 6 in some ways and a complete joke in others.
The color scheme selected for the new icon set is hideous.

Its not about features. Those are going to be universal. It's about implementation.

As for the color scheme I'll reserve judgment until I see it. Apple is like BMW in that both companies products can only be fully appreciated in real life.

One thing is for certain though iOS7 isn't going to help lackluster Samsung Galaxy S4 sales

LOL @ Futurama. So true. I guess now we know why Android users don't use their phones much, they're busy hashing out their insecurities on Macrumors.

I'm sorry but I didn't see one new thing in ios7. Just a rinse and repeat interface copied from android.

apple fails to deliver yet again. smh.

So apple really were pissing about all these years with the os, if they can manage to change it soo radically in the space of 12 months.

The pixels are still on when the display is black. It doesn't go off. IF it makes any difference I'd imagine it will be in the order of seconds or minutes per day of usage.

It's not about the pixels, it's about the LED backlight. You are correct though, on an LCD display, it doesn't matter if you are displaying white or black, all that matters is the LED brightness.

The conference just ended and... I'm happy with everything except the look of the icons.

C'mon Apple Designers, even I can design better icons using Flat design.

Sadly MacRumors does nothing to weed out the full-time Apple bashers on this forum.

That's because these people too have EVERY RIGHT to be here just as much as you do. However, the people who are bashing Apple aren't usually attacking the other forum members like you are doing..
