The News app looks cool but Flipboard is really an amazing app, could it surpass it?

Wow, so far most of this keynote is Apple either improving something that is lagging in the market (like Siri), or ripping off features from their competitors like Windows Aero Snap and just now Flipboard.

Still laughing my ass off at Apple thinking Siri is leading the market.
Depends on your definition of "leading". In terms of overall usage and visibility, Siri is bigger than anybody, seeing as OEMs have severely limited the reach of Google Now in some of their devices.

At least this woman has a personality and is having fun out there, unlike the accountant .

This lady is a terrible public speaker, bring back Creepy Craig. 432 hair flips in 54 seconds so far.

Agreed. I'm all for being inclusive, but between the hair flips and the fast speech she seems forced and not comfortable with the technology. It's important to communicate this software effectively.

maybe Apple's thinking is that Siri will be leading in market *at some stage*

I like positive thinking too.

Guys, so neat and cool, cool! Looks great on the page! It looks GREAT! GREAT GREAT GREAT! This woman needs a new vocab.

I almost remember using something like this called Flipboard... About 3 or so years ago. Did this App really need it's own demonstration?

By the way.. I don't really want Apple to choose which news stories I want to read.. i can make those decisions myself.

Apple is becoming a search company without coming out and saying it. They keep talking about machine learning and things like that. Finding connections between the things you receive and what you do. Indexing third party apps. Before you know it in a few years, Apple will be on top of the search game without even needing to build a traditional search engine. That's how you slowly push Google out of the market without people realizing it.

Is News going to be free articles or do we have to subscribe to say like LA Times, if so this is just bloatware IMO I just don't see the point when I can get News online such as from Google for free.
