so they are becoming a software company... no hardware...pathetic. Interestingly didn't they criticse MS for being software whereas Apple was a hardware company that made software... what a let down. Nothing that major.

My guess is that the updated MacBook Pro is set for a Q4 release (meaning October).
I doubt the devs want their older Macs dropped, either. Especially since many iOS devs are looking for the cheapest way to build iOS apps on the latest version of Xcode.This was a developer event, not a customer event.
