OK Keynote, I guess. My top 3 things:
1. Craig's jab at Apple's marketing team
2. Metal Tessellation (on the iOS slide, but hopefully a part of macOS too)
3. Built-in clipboard sync.

Runner up: Dark Mode on appleTV. They really set it up for Dark Mode everywhere, especially with the new lighter version of Notification Center. Maybe they aren't ready yet.

so they are becoming a software company... no hardware...pathetic. Interestingly didn't they criticse MS for being software whereas Apple was a hardware company that made software... what a let down. Nothing that major.

That XPS or surface pro look more tempting by the day.

They cancelled the September event, huh?

When my iMac dies in probably 2-4 years I think I might be doing what I never wanted and going back to Windows. I don't believe Microsoft can offer me things I want any more than Apple can (if this is any indication) but at least they can do it cheaper and I can build it myself.

macOS' features almost all seem dependent on an iPhone or Apple Watch which I don't really care for and if this is the direction iOS is going (childish and bloated) than its only a matter of time before macs get the same treatment.

I love you Apple, I really do, but you need to stop pushing away your professional audience.

can't wait to get these useless stock apps off the phone. it's about time they let us do this.

I was really hoping the rumor of Apple opening up iMessages to Android would be true but i guess not.
They do say its open to developers now for imessages apps. I dont know what that implies really.

My guess is that the updated MacBook Pro is set for a Q4 release (meaning October).

And how sad is that? That would have been over 18 months since the last MBP update. Intel will begin readying its next processor range by then!

Apple have had plenty of time to work on new MBP - they didn't need to wait until the CPUs became available - they would have access to Skylake production samples.

It's a good direction they're heading into, but nothing major. Slightly dissapointed they didn't tell anything about their apps on macOS.
I like the iOS 10 updates, and looking forward to how "intelligent" Siri has become

How about iWork getting updated?

Stock dropping through the floor as we speak.

Actually the stock opened down about 1% and has stayed there all day. Apple stock has NEVER spiked on a keynote day, not even under Steve. It's always flat to down.

Wow, no hardware, I think there are going to be a lot of disappointed folks in the MBP and Mac Pro forums. I think many people in those respective forums were fully expecting to see some updates.

Given the absurd length of time since the last update, you'd at least expect a hint at something "later this summer/year". I can't imagine they would lose many sales on machines last updated well of a year ago for the MBP (a long time for a laptop) and 2.5 years ago for the Mac Pro.

That was alright, but for Apple to fully realise Apple Pay on macOS, there would need to be Touch ID on the upcoming MacBooks
