The iPad is now a viable computer. This is huge. I can see the majority of casual users buying an iPad. This will revitalize iPad sales.

Dumb question--With "Files" is my data still stored with each application?

I don't see why it wouldn't. If I were designing Files, it would just be a way to show the contents of those App specific Document folders in a single place. But we'll have to wait and see what the technical documents say.

Hopefully they will show an updated Keyboard and Pencil otherwise whats the point of the keyboard now its too small for the 10.5 inch

Guys... This $5k iMac is made for professionals who drop $6,000 on a cinema camera or $3500 on a lens. The iMac Pro is clearly replacing the Mac Pro which makes perfect sense. They weren't selling many of those, so to use the same form factor as the iMac is perfect. No reason to re-design the lineup. If a Mac Pro wasn't on your wish list yesterday, the iMac Pro was never for you anyway.

Stop it. This crap about the suggesting if "you're bitching about the price of the iMac Pro, it's not for you", is BS. I've been using a Mac Pro since 2009. A pro machine should have at least TWO internal storage bays, er, sockets that are upgradeable by the user. Not ALL pro users need Xeon gear, yet we want more than a 4 core processor found in the 'consumer iMac'.

Holy crap, look at across the aisle at the pro PC/Windows users who are building their own custom made machines for less than 50% of this offering. ...and with Intel's new i9 chips being released at the end of this month, for pro users no less, or even with Ryzen chips, the machines are silly powerful - and not just for 'gaming'. ...did I mention you can build a machine that will run circles around these for less than half (-$2,500) the price of the base iMac Pro?

Pro User does NOT = someone who can 'afford' a $7,000 machine. LOL

The iPad replaced notebooks for years already especially with students. The big deal was the availability of textbooks on iOS.

MAYBE....just MAYBE the Plus / Pro iPhones in Sept will have drag drop ability, larger dock option in landscape mode.
Just speculation. But it would be nice on an iOS11 Phone with UI that seems pretty bad at first glance.
