Never thought I'd say this, but it was almost, just almost, like they had too much stuff in there. Especially the HomePod sneak peek wasn't really necessary. I mean, sneak peek of an accessory after two hours of presenting, come on?

That said, I'm really happy with most of their stuff. Well done and great presenting!!

This keynote exceeded my expectations. The new Watch OS features and the improvements to iOS on the iPad were my favorite improvements demonstrated today.

Ooh are the uk getting the speaker this year? I'm happy for that. I was working so couldn't follow it properly.

So does this new iMac Pro mean the current black Mac Pro price is going to drop yet again?!?

Nope. The trash can will stay until the new Mac Pro is released. It already got a price drop and spec bump a couple of months ago.

I'm feeling pretty good about my recent Bose Revolve purchase and my Echo Dot. (The Revolve has no business sounding as good as it does. Highly impressed with that thing.)

Wow, great to phone it in Apple. Really underwhelming that the most interesting products are 6 months out!

If people want sound quality they need a high end receiver and real towering speakers. Such a setup can cost a couple grand to 20k

No that's for the best you can possibly buy for no price limit, and it costs more then that too.
The majority will be happy with Sonos quality levels, oh and B&W is included in the super high end mega expensive premium pricing tower speakers.

$349? Kinda absurd. Google Home is $100 and makes free calls.
They're going after the high-end compact connected speaker market (Sonos), not cheap, commodity Bluetooth speakers. Which should not be surprising, that's what Apple generally does. If the audio quality is there and it really is smart (self-balancing to room shape and placement, easily controlled multi-room audio, great integration with all Apple devices, etc.), there's a market there. I've been considering Sonos for some time and always hold back because of the not-great integration with all my Apple stuff, so this is perfect for me (again, if the quality is there). I can see myself buying 3-4 of these (2 living room, 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen), but I'll have to research the hell out of it first.

For $350, I can buy a Bose Soundlink speaker (or any other well made bluetooth speaker) and hook it up with a $50 Amazon echo dot.
