What makes Amazon such a great setup, is $50 echo all around the house. If you are going to use this as a home assistant you need about 3 in the house, bedroom, living room and kitchen, so Amazon $150, apple $1K. That should put this into perspective. If you have great speakers in the house, chrome audio is a much better implementation than Amazon or apple for music

All of this machine learning focus when SIRI and Spotlight are so terrible, it sounds like just marketing to me. I really hope there is some engineering behind it, but if so, why are SIRI and Spotlight so bad?

You don't want an audio speaker for TV, get a sound bar

I use a Bose Soundlink Mini for TV sound, connected for 3.5mm audio, have done for quite a few years now. It's an excellent speaker and works perfectly for TV audio. Only awkwardness is that you have to remember to switch it on manually when you boot the TV up, and volume control is awkward cause TV thinks its a pair of headphones. But mostly painless.

WOW, this is so ugly it's unreal how these guys sit at a table and actually agree to this. Most like a marketing team lead design. Atrocious.

If its designed on a grid, Johnny approves. And this is what you get.

This was a brilliant keynote by Apple! Highlights where defiantly the new iPad Pro's along with new software for them and the updated Mac's. The Speaker looks really good as well.

One of the most underwhelming WWDCs ever though, I'd say. The HomePod looks okay, but they really needed to swallow their pride and price it as low as possible. Echo is massively popular because of how damn cheap it is.
