Now all I want is a better way to organize apps, if they announce that before this ends in the next few minutes, this update is everything I wanted and more!
Awesome so far, but the thing I wanted most of all was for just ONE freaking streaming music app like Pandora to be allowed to run in the background, battery life be dammed. Please please please make that "one more thing".
Exactly - blackberry HANDILY beat iPhone in this regard. Invaluable feature for business use.
Removed every reason to jailbreak except one: Tethering.... So I'll still be jailbreaking. Can't wait for this to come out though!
I expect the update will probably be out in mid-July or August..... such a long time to wait for this!
Copy and paste at last! Unfortunately, people will now think that Apple invented copy and paste on the smartphone because they've made such a song and dance about it.
C+P is basic functionality that should be expected.
The improvements look good, overall. Shame there is no background apps. My battery doesn't suffer very much by having background processing running on my phone, so I don't know why touch / iphone does.

dude if they don't add it. that's like one of the only reasons left to jailbreak. except tethering (so far)
