Heh heh...way to encourage upgrades for those with 2-year-old contracts this summer!

Well, seems to be a limitation of the hardware. I'm sure someone else will verify that eventually.

I'm curious in what way 1st Gen iPhones couldn't support MMS.
I have many friends and family with phones years older, and much less advanced, and without any internet connectivity, but still seems to handle MMS.

Yeah its too bad it looks like that wont come this update, luckily spotlight has the app launching feature, which is what I mostly use already on OSX, so I have a feeling that will be the easiest way to get between apps, but it would be nice to just clean up my pages, I have all of them filled now, not all completely, but every page is used.
 
A litlle carrot dangle to get 1st gens to upgrade. Bo big deal. It will be 2 years anyway. And hopefully the 3rd gens will be out by then.

I don't see how MMS is a limitation of the hardware.. especially as jailbroken phones have been able to do it for a while now. It's just marketing - keep the good stuff for the new customers.
 
If they don't update the hardware this summer with a better camera for video and decent picture taking, heads-will-roll......

People need to get this through their heads. The Palm Devs were APPLE internal engineers who left. If anyone is stealing it's those former devs who took pay raise jobs at Palm.
