Steve: "We're here to talk about Mac, we'll have some news for the Apple TV soon, but nothing to talk about today." Hmmm... more updates later in the year?:apple:

A new mini?

Jason Chen: Q: How is the Mac Mini doing? And are you updating it? A: We are refreshing the Mac Mini and making it even faster. It's already in the online store.

my prayers have been answered. Just wish I could get into the store and see the specs...

Just thought, if the iMac is that thin, they must be using a 2.5" HDD? Sloooooow!

Q&A! Someone ask him about the Mini pleeeease :D

I'd guess the iMac still uses full 3.5 inch drives, otherwise how do you get a terrabyte of storage. Biggest 2.5 inch being 250 gigs, I think.

Ok, I know I've beaten this horse TO DEATH but...

1) new iMac
2) new iLife and iWork '08
3) new keyboard
4) .Mac revamped
5) Mac Mini refresh

but no, nothing, not even a SLIGHT change in the Cinema Display's. A new KEYBOARD, but nothing seriously new in over THREE YEARS for the Apple Display line... Steve, Steve, are you reading this? I have a Q and A for ya...

Refreshed Mac Mini, I think that's the bit of news that has me the most excited. Have one of those along with the new BT keyboard for the living room would be a dream setup. In this case, that's why having a the BT keyboard with no num pad is an advantage.

Steve hinted that Apple TV news will be released soon:

"How is Apple TV today? How does it fit into Mac?"

Steve: "We're here to talk about Mac, we'll have some news for the Apple TV soon, but nothing to talk about today."

Maybe HD downloads on the iTunes store finally....

If the new graphic cards are as bad as the reviews say they are, I'm sorely disappointed. Worse than the existing cards?! :mad:

I like Apple as much as anyone else, but how a person can say the first edition of an iWork spreadsheet is better then Excel and no one has even tested it yet it beyond me.

I can tell just from the screenshots that it will be better suited to a lot of home, consumer users.

Will it offer the power of Excel? No way. Will businesses use it as a serious number crunching tool? Nope. Will it be easier to do things like family budgets, wedding planning lists and so on? Almost certainly. Apple went 100% the right direction on this. Trying to out Excel Excel would be suicide.

ha its just some people believe ever apple product is great, which is simply not true

:)

All speculation.

The good things about the Mini?

* It's small (duh!)
* Reasonably priced

Good point on the drive size in the iMac, phew.

Just shows what people care about :D Even though it only got an honourable mention, as soon as he mentioned the Mini - about 20 posts at once cheering about it!
