I always find it funny that they think software adoption counts for anything.

On other platforms, the OS gets out of the way and you install the apps you want. I can upgrade my Edge or IE without having to upgrade windows. It's idiotic that to get the new Safari needs the new iOS.

Hell yeah!!! I want more performance! Performance good, bugs bad! I hope I’ll finally be able to update my spare iPhone 6 to iOS 12 now. I left it on 10.3.3 since 11 would’ve ruined performance and battery life.

Personally I was hoping for more Animoji. This is clearly the most important new feature.

I think Apple knows what’s important far better than you. They are executing a strategy that is working beautifully. Animoji are just a small part of it, despite what you think.

Good that they’re concentrating on older devices. That was always the issue - less so now with the powerful hardware on earlier devices but the iPhone 4 is a great example of how quickly software updates crippled a beautiful device. Even iOS 5 turned it into a dog.
