Dropping support for the 2011 Macs was a greedy move on Apple's part. Hopefully the third-party patching community will be able to get 10.15 running on unsupported 2011 Macs.

I'm going to watch what Apple will break in iOS 13, so that I can make an app for that.
I hope it fails on the live demo of something.
Predictions:
0:00-0:05: n-th video on how much devs change the world (all with motivational music of some kind)
0:06-0:15: Update by Tim, "great" x 10.
0:16-0:30 Dark Mode on macOS
0:31-0:45 How much dark mode changes macOS
0:46-0:55 new macOS name, with several jokes on how they came up with the name.
0:56-1:05:00 new iOS, basic presentation, lots of discussion on 13 as a number
1:06:00-1:15:00 Federighi presenting new emojis
1:16:00-1:30:00 random BS.

I was able to get Mojave beta running on a 2011 17" MacBook Pro even without the DosDude tool. Sure is nice how it automates the process though. I've been meaning to use it to put Mojave back onto the 17".
My iOS wishlist that will probably never come true:
-Ability to manage groups in the contacts app instead of having to do it from my MacBook.
-Banner notifications for phone calls that don’t interrupt what you are doing
-Change default apps i.e., mail to outlook, maps to waze, etc
-Rearrange apps on the home screen in any order/position that I want
-Hide apps from the home screen or folders without deleting them from the phone
-WiFi and Bluetooth buttons in the control center to act like on/off switch with a single tap
-Ability to hide/disable everything in the music app except for my own personal library. No radio, no Apple Music. Every time an iOS update comes out, Apple Music gets turned back on.
-Passcode/Touch ID/Face ID for apps like photos, messages
-Text threads that are based on the contact info instead of by number. I have family around the world who text from different numbers all the time and each number starts a new thread instead of just continuing from where we left off before they swapped SIM cards even though I have all numbers saved in their contact.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple and look forward to each and every announcement. Just wish there was a bit more customization with iOS.

Similar to how the WiFi went out a few years ago. Imagine Tim typing something on a MBP live and he starts to get ddouble presses off the same letterr

I'd be happy if we got some good usability/multitasking improvements for the iPad and a dark mode. I'd be over the moon if they updated the Mail app with category sorting, snooze, reminders, and send later.
Parents gave in and started buying teens iPhones..so we have this now that apple will put out. I agree it’s a few features I would trade in a heartbeat for the Animoji’s
I know it's not the norm for this place but I still get excited for these events. I'm looking forward to seeing what they are bringing out this year.

People can say what they want, but they're not following this thread and posting frequently because they're not excited. They're still excited, whether they want to admit it or not
