I'd be happy if we got some good usability/multitasking improvements for the iPad and a dark mode. I'd be over the moon if they updated the Mail app with category sorting, snooze, reminders, and send later.

IF iPadOS is going to happen, it’s great news, as I think the iPad icons won’t be far away from one another, but wait, this is apple, icons being closer together will occur in 2022 iPads.

Trying not to get too hyped, but if iPadOS is it's own separate thing, then doesn't that free them up to move in some radically new directions? Would love to be able to run a docked version of macOS Lite on the iPad, for instance. But even an overhaul to the way the iPad UI should work and separating that from the iPhone would be really interesting.
