I personally will be making a reservation for the upgrade program as well as preordering a backup Next device. 6s Plus Space Grey 64GB.

As of now my plan is to forgo my 2 year upgrade with AT&T because I don't want to be forced into only ordering at AT&T's website each year going forward. I'm also not about to move to Mobile Share because even the measly 5GB mobile share plan costs $10 more than my current 3 lines, and I wouldn't get subsidized pricing for those prices.
I'm going to order a 6S Plus and 6S full price and plan to move to T-Mobile. I'm going to pass on to a lucky family member whichever phone I don't prefer between the 6S and 6S Plus (a family member on my plan with me) because their phone is getting old, and they are not picky (you know the type).

I am going to pay full price and by this time next year I will have fullfilled my contract and knock off $20/mo.
As ATT ETF maxes out at $325, how many people if they're going to switch carriers go ahead and get the subsidized phone for the discount $450 less $45 activation fee, $405 savings versus the $325 ETF, an $80 savings?

where i'm undecided is pink vs gray.... I have always gotten black or gray. I put a skin on usually anyways (although with the last black phone I used a clear matte skin that was GORGEOUS! but I digress)
I have issue with the white bezel... if the rose gold is pinkie enough for me (going to look at the watches tonight to see) then I really need to decide if I can stand the white bezel for a year.... (it's not like I can walk into a store and exchange it for gray/black bezel cuz they'll most likely be backordered)
however I recently found a black with white polka dots skin at slickskins that I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY love.... if i'm going to use that anyways... might as well just go gray w/black bezel!
i'm so not good at making decisions!
at least it was easy picking my ipad mini 4 color! (although the capacity for that became an issue!)
do you see a trend here? NOT a good decision maker! and for the love of god do NOT ask me what's for dinner tonight!

Can I buy a 6s on the apple month to month without validating my lines upgrade status at Verizon? This should be the same as buying at full price, just paying apple monthly. Correct?

haha omg this was exactly me for this past month and half! I was so hyped for the rose gold but when I saw the promo video I sort of cringed personally. Not because it's a bad color it's more so that I expected it to be less pink and more golden pink. I'm going with space gray because I'm coming from a white bezel on the galaxy s4 and I want a change. The white bezel didn't bother me as much but I can't do it again. I constantly need change haha
No, you have to verify your account or activate a new line. They cannot be purchased without a plan =/
Basically you cannot just finance the phone separate from a carrier. In other words, as a pre-paid customer I cannot utilize this program.
You can make a reservation to buy one at the store but that doesn't hold a phone for you. If you want one on launch day, you will need to pre-order or camp out. I called yesterday about doing the iPhone upgrade program and that's the way it will work. You have to do it in store and you will be limited to getting whatever phone is in stock.
Nor can I as a business customer. :-(
We are starting to transition our business lines to no contract and I really don't want to start any more 2 year deals.
Can I buy it as a new VZW line on the Apple month to month?
Well, it seems to me that if AT&T loses customers to other carriers because of this they may change their policy on 2 year contracts/subsidies next time. Or not.
Yeah, if you're flexible with the color, I suspect that will make a difference. Definitely happened with our watches, both 42mm Sport, hers was silver/white, mine was SG/black, she got hers ~4 weeks before mine (in fact, the first day of shipments).
I'm curious about the month-to-month through Verizon, for existing customers. If I go through the motions on Apple.com, I see the subsidized or full price, nothing about monthly carrier. So I'm assuming that has to be done through Verizon.com, but I'm just not sure if it's available at all through an online order[?]

Does anyone know the limit of how many you can order per customer? I need to get 3, so will I be able to purchase them all on 1 credit card? or do I need to use 2 credit cards to purchase 3?
