I tried to look this up on here but couldn't find anything. Can I upgrade via Apple with ATT Next as an option? I don't want to order with AT&T since I had a bad experience with them last year. Thanks!

Yeah I know, the site is always down, the whole site not just the store every iPhone release. The error message is weird but I think that's just because so many people are hitting their servers even though the site is down so it may have caused something to reboot. Who knows.
That's what I'm picking, worse case scenario I'll exchange it which I don't think I'll have a problem doing as their will be plenty of people looking for the Rose Gold.
Yes I know. As a web developer, seeing a generic Access Denied message from the web server is what I mean by "down" as opposed to "offline"

When you log into your ATT account and click on Upgrade eligibility, does it say you're eligible to upgrade now?
I payed my balance off (277.00) to upgrade and trade-in the phone 2 days ago. I am now eligible for an upgrade with trade-in....
I know you can order via Apple for AT&T Next for a completely paid off phone but I'm not sure for the paid off to upgrade/turn in phone AT&T Next. I would assume you can since I haven't seen anything to say otherwise.
I am going for the 128g Silver plus. Im staying away from the popular colors this year. Also, I ordered the last few years on ATT, it was a miserable experience. I actually set up a reminder last year the day after the preorder to remind me last wednesday to go through apple.com Ive never ordered the phone through apple.com, does it automatically renew my ATT contract?
Yep, it works exactly as if you were ordering through AT&T, but your phone ships from Apple.
Last year's iPhone 6 launch at Tyson's Corner Virginia, there was no shortage of iPhones. We lined up relatively late (around #100 in line), and Apple Store had everything in stock to buy 9am except for 16GB 6 Plus Gold. I doubt we will be camping again this year.
Two years ago, we did our 1st camp out, and I got the 5S Gold 64GB AT&T on launch day 9am. It was more fun back then, lesser amount of people, not to mention, I didn't keep the phone because someone bought it from me for $2300 on eBay. New color shortages definitely make people pay $$$, otherwise I would've kept it instead of waiting a couple weeks for another one.

I'm so tempted to get the Rose gold but wish I knew what it looked like realistically rather than the promo pics, which everyone says is more pink

Don't worry about societal norms. Get what you like. If you need to see it in person then you shouldn't get it unless you see it first. If you don't care about it that much get the gold. I personally was going to get it, but after looking at pics and videos it looks to pink for me. Not my taste. If it was more of a copper tone I would have been all over it.
That's because gold was a new color last year. You should have no problem getting it tonight.
Someone posted that they went and looked at the rose gold watch and they said it looked more copper and not pink enough. Not sure what to think.
If you paid it off in full, then why do you have to turn it in? Isn't it yours to keep?
They were on sale yesterday for $49. Already ordered them, and they will be here Saturday for me along with the Charcoal Silicone case.
ATT Next allows you to upgrade before you finish paying off the phone - if you do that, you have to trade the phone in. I only know this because they offered that to me earlier tonight when I paid off my phone in full (which I now can keep).
