Well LTE band 20 will speed up LTE on AT&T network and the T-Mobile version doesn't have it. Now I feel like cancelling my order and ordering an AT&T version.

I ordered mine at about 12:10 pacific time and I still don't have confirmation. It that okay?

I ordered mine at 12:20 PST and didn't get my confirmation email at first. I just did an online chat with the apple store and they said a lot of the emails may not have come right away and they sent me mine right after I asked for it.

Preordered through O2 here in the UK using their 'speed to refresh' scheme! Sold my phone to them with O2 Recycle and got £406 for it, was £325 to speed to refresh and upgrade, went for the iPhone 6s 64GB Space Grey with 5GB of data and unlimited calls and texts, cost £39.99 upfront and £46 a month! Decided I'm going to stick with the size of 6/6s then go up to + size with 7, not ready yet!

What was surprising is either how popular or low in inventory the 6s+ is! I got confused and thought O2 opened preorders at 9am but they opened them at 8am, despite this I still got my 6s 64GB SG with launch day delivery and O2 still has them all listed as available for launch day delivery, where as all 6s+ have slipped to 2-3 weeks, with the exception of the Gold colour option. I believe the story here in the UK is the same with Apple too, as I checked a minute ago!

I think this has been asked and answered before but I just wanted to ask again:

I have a "family plan" with T-mob and it was started with a BYOD. Others on my line aren't going to upgrade. I think that I will have to pay full price with T-mobile and the phone comes with a nano sim. I will have to activate that sim after calling Tmob and that retains my number.

Can someone please confirm if this is how it works?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm personally glad that I waited for the s model because the specs are more long lasting than the 6. The 6s could easily get me through to the 7s. I'm happy and excited to get s models from here on out too.

Definitely. If these devices end up having the 2GB of RAM, they'll last me past the 7s

Pre-ordered ATT iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB, silver at 3:08 AM EST. Delivers 9/25. Did att next 24. But also did reservation hoping to do a pick up from store, now it says can't cancel. Any one who created reservation and were able to cancel it ?

I wouldn't worry about canceling it. Just go pick it up at the store because it might be safer. Unless you're going to be home waiting for it, I wouldn't risk having the FedEx truck leave it on your doorstep because it just might get stolen by thieves that followed the FedEx trucks around picking up iPhones.

Besides, isn't picking the phone up at the store more fun than sitting At home by yourself? You get the engage in all of the excitement and hype from other customers which I find gratifying especially in the Apple Store.

You'll be alright, Silver isn't in as high demand as the others.

Thanks! Yeah, I definitely noticed that, and my order history still says 9/25. I'm pretty excited now!

Funny thing is, I very clearly remember checking to make sure my alarm was on before I got into bed. I must've woken up in a barely conscious state and silenced it!

Successfully placed the order through AT&T (2 year contract renewal) couple minutes after launch.
Just logged into AT&T to check order status and saw this. WTF?
I recommend those who ordered theirs through AT&T to check order status.

Online Chat customer reps says: Security Error at Checkout

Order status:
Canceled
Your order is no longer in progress because either you canceled it, or we did.
We're sorry, but we're unable to complete your request online. For your protection, your order has been cancelled. Please visit your local AT&T store and we'll be happy to help you with your purchase.

Shocked to wake up and be able to order today for delivery on 9/25 still. Had no interest and buying the 6s and now I pre-ordered 3 of them, LOL.

Pre ordered another one this time the AT&T version since I don't want to miss out on the LTE band 20 which T-Mobile version doesn't have. I did some reading on it and it will have faster speeds. Definitely don't want to miss out on that and it still delivers 9/25. Now just need to cancel the other one.

Question: will I be able to cancel the order after it is in processing status? Right now I don't have the option.

You don't get it. I'm not whining about paying taxes (that's for another thread). I'm whining about paying taxes on an ONLINE order, hence why the ONLINE part was capitalized. In my experience, the number of online retailers that charge tax is far lower in comparison to those that do.

Not to mention the fact that we are ALL making a LOT of corporate guys richer - whether you like it or not; the margin on electronics is astoundingly high.

Tax on an online order usually depends on whether that store has a brick and mortar store in your state. For instance, if I order from Dillard's website, I get charged tax because Dillard's has stores in Arizona. But if I order from Bloomingdales website, no tax, because there are no Bloomies in Arizona. Not sure how that applies to this, as it's more complicated with apple and all the carriers, but that's how it usually is.

Since so many are still able to order for a 9/25 delivery, does this mean the iPhone 6s pre-orders are going to be considered a flop? Last year the pre-orders were backed up for weeks by this time in the morning.

I ordered about an hour and a half late due to issues with the Verizon site, getting a 6s+ 64gb rose gold. My Verizon status page says that it will ship by 10/07. I would have preferred to order through Apple because of the better tracking and better... everything. But that wasn't an option since I was doing financing.

I get that I was late so would have a late ship date. But you pull up the same model even now on the Apple website it says 2-3 weeks, which is sooner than October 7. Does Apple just have different stock access or is there a good chance that I'll be getting it early? (opinions, obviously)

Is anyone else concerned that the Apple payment plan wasn't available for actual preorder? All you did was make a reservation without any payment details or anything. That makes me a little nervous.

Also, the phones on the apple payment plan are supposed to be unlocked. But it didn't say anything about that when making my reservation. How do they know that's what I want?

This. This right here. I'm taking off work on the 25th because they wouldn't let me ship to my place of work, only my credit card billing address.

I'm shocked too almost all models (except rose gold) are still at 9/25 dates. I just think they had a lot more ready earlier this year so that it wasn't like last year where if you didn't preorder in the first 30 min you had to wait 3-4 weeks to be able to buy one and no stores had stock for a good 6-8 weeks except 1-2 units which all went as soon as the were delivered to that store.

Or they have some explaining to do as only subsidized upgrades are supposed to be charged the upgrade fee

it was all over the tech sites a couple of weeks ago that at&5 was going to charge upgrade fees, even for NEXT customers.

My friend's husband (VW rep) was able to order ours this morning. At first he said they showed backordered but then refreshed and ours have a 9/25 delivery date. I hope that's not a fluke.
